Did someone notice that almost all the torrent listed here have 2 tracker?, one on piratebay and other on moviex, which is a private tracker and it use userkey to track his member.
I find interesting it always the same userkey and u get a error saying: u aren’t allowed to leech, just to seed.
So when we seed back the userkey’s owner get our stats on his accounts, we are all seeding for him.

ummm yeah, common knowledge that axxo generally just re-encodes proper releases into 1CD. but, i pick up the occasional one from him if it’s a movie i don’t care about in terms of quality and size.
he did build a name for himself by producing lesser-quality than the actual propers he rips off, which is quite entertaining to say the least. when i was new i thought he was the best. didn’t take long to see what was really going on.

This one having French and Spanish subtitles, I’m pretty sure the source is region 1 DVD, so that would be a 23.976 fps DVDrip. Why don’t you like this framerate? At least the audio is not accelerated by 3 ou 4 % which is the case when video is 25.000 fps.

Thank god I wasn’t the only one who was like that, and once again I’m in the exact same boat as you (who needs a 1080p HD rip of ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry’). Kind of helps download speed as aXXo has a hugely naive following that will generate many seeds.

tramp – definitely in the same boat. took a while to figure him out because so many people sing his praises and no one really talks about what he’s actually doing. he has such a huge following so he’s one of the first you come across when you get started out. i guess he’s good for what it is but now he’s obviously just such a big step down from the really good proper stuff out there.

sigh why in this day and age with DVD’s do we still need CD’S releases. Its called a dvdrip for a reason. I’m sure you can combine these into one file but I am I would like it if these so-called dvdrips would actually come out as a dvdrip – which means allinone.

OK, I haven’t understood the whole thing you said (sorry, not my 1st language and it might be a little too technic for me: I don’t get the “3:2 pulldown” thing actually), but what you could do is convert it in DVD using ConvertXtoDVD set on PAL instead of NTSC/auto, so all your conversions will be done in PAL. Weird thing, though, is that the movie length doesn’t change (no 3 or 4 % acceleration) in the process and the frame rate thing is hardly noticeable when the camera pans. You can also set your DVD player on PAL instead of NTSC/auto so your player transcode it in PAL in real time (more or less well done depending on your player quality). And another question: can’t your TV display NTSC? Another solution, but I don’t know to do it with ac3, is to change the framerate using VirtualDubMod and accelerate the audio accordingly, but I only know how to do it with Mp3 sound. I have a tutorial to do this but it’s in French. I’m sure you can find one in your own language on the Web.

The reason you can’t see the difference is twofold. First, you are an idiot and lack any understanding of picture quality when it comes to video. Second, you’re such a moron if you have still not made the move to HD yet. You must still be watching these releases on an old CRT TV…that are now so ancient that Best Buy has stopped even selling them.

As for your question jackstraw, both of them (axxo vs scene) are fully watchable and the differences are normally not too bad. Personally, now, I almost always download scene. If you want really good quality, go for HD, I highly recommend.

First…I was only trying to help you with your question. Sorry you feel so upset by the answer, but it was the truth.
Second…why would you bother to buy a movie when you can download it instead? The only reason would be that the same cheapskate values you have towards TV’s also applies towards your internet service provider, and you have the slowest, cheapest service you could find.
Or it may be that you are just incapable of finding work that pays more than Wal-Mart and you have no money.

Everyone has different configurations, personally I have no monthly bandwidth cap and a good pipe, as such I download 2cd releases and now and then I’ll grab something in HD.
I run an HTPC setup so there’s no benefit in me redoing my setup for HD-DVD or Blu-Ray especially when the two formats are having a slap fight over who gets to lead the pack.
Personally I think axxo just re-encodes way too low even at 700mb, if you saw his rip of children of men it was absolutely awful. As seen in some of his releases of newer dvd titles, it seems even he is realizing what absolute garbage comes out when you shove a 2hr movie into 700mb by upping his releases around 900mb which isn’t great but it’s a change at least and a much needed one.
I’m not a fan for his work, but you wanted an example, and that one stands out the most for me of a flawed release.

For all those bothered with moviex tracker, firstly it doesn’t work on unregistered torrents(you can see the message in utorrent), this means we aren’t sending our usage data to the tracker.Secondly, if you are paranoid enough to be bothered by it, just delete the tracker from the torrent and use only the piratebay’s tracker.

axxo releases are OK but i hate that he doesn’t make 2 CD releases for longer movies, instead he makes 800-900MB ones
The thing about axxo is consistancy. If I want a good copy without having to worry about it being nuked etc, I download an Axxo. No need to worry missing rars etc.
But then again I still use a Bush 36in CRT TV, so to me the quality is perfectly OK.
But the one thing that Axxo has picked up on is CONSISTANCY. and this is what people like about his/her/there releases.
Just a few thoughts about axxo but not only. Most people prefer smaller files. They want a decent dvdrip and thats all. MAX 2CD’s for me. They want to dl fast and to delete after some time. Most people watch a movie only once so why bother downloading 4GB files? If they like the movie they may buy a dvd/hddvd/blueray. Simple. I have no idea who downloads those blueray/hd dvd releases. Thats why axxo is so popular. His Transformers release on mininova has 393863 downloads.

Anyway, who cares about pixelated or not at 700mb. IMO, you download a 700mb movie to watch it once on your computer and delete it. It doesnt need to be a bitrate of 3200kbps. At the same time, a 700mb DVDRiP is better than some crappy TS (which I never bother with anyway). If you really like what you just saw, you should go buy it on DVD when it comes out. Or at least rent it and burn yourself a copy
The point is, the more groups like FLT and PUKKA and DiAMOND and aXXo and so forth, the better. It all benefits the bittorrent scene anyway, so stop arguing over nothing.
