The Bank Job DVDRip XviD-NeDiVx

This is a film which I’ve heard a lot of positive things about and finally it is here in retail DVDRip. Popular group NeDiVx were the first to get their hands on it and release it. Make sure you do not mistake so called “DVDRips” of this movie from p2p as actual R1 retail rips. These were all R5 rips which is tagged as dvdrips on p2p. A very high quality R5 was already released of this film from TRG, but NeDiVx decided to do a 2CD rip which is great news. I try to watch most of the films that Jason Statham does and this one has a really good rating, so I’d say its definitely worth the download.

Quality: The quality on this release is excellent. You could compare the image quality to the recent DVDRip of Honeydrippers, although the resolution is not as high. 5.1 channel AC3 audio is included as well as English subtitles. Enjoy.

In September 1971, thieves tunneled into the vault of a bank in London’s Baker Street and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewelry worth over three million pounds. None of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared – the result of a ‘D’ Notice, gagging the press. This film reveals what was hidden for the first time. The story involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family – a story in which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.

    You really don’t know what you’re doing here. How can you say it is R1 retail ? You didn’t even check the framerate but you hurry up to say it’s R1. It’s PAL.
    And the retail disc has 2.35:1 AR not 1.85:1. Sooo… the quality of this is nothing better than the r5.
    @HarryBlows: iAPULA had 5.1 sound.

    I really liked the film. It might not be historically correct, but a nice flick nonetheless. Statham definitely acted all right, and Saffron Burrows is really nice and convincing.

    Ok movie, but only Ok… there are much better Brit-flicks out there. Good for a laugh or 2… if you don’t watch it, you’ll never know!

    Turner, you must be a Mac user and don’t know how to use your computer. Very easy to combine the two files and convert them to DVD format.

    However if your point was that the 2 CD release concept needs to be updated because it is far behind the times well then I agree.

    I agree with “inferno”. The source doesn’t seem to be from the original RETAiL DVD (framerate and aspect ratio).
    In addition, “Marceli” just mentioned above, that the DVD R1 is released on the 15th of July. And generally, the ’scene’ release the DVDRips 3 weeks earlier. Not 2 months…

    Personally, I will wait few more weeks before downloading this film.

    Overrated crap not worth downloading the DVD Rip being the .R5 was excellent quality already and the flick iteslf was nothing great at not sure how it gets a 7.7 rating at IMDB IT IS LIKE A 5 AT BEST LOL…..:)!

    Winavi should do the trick. The only thing is, it will be part of the movie. So you can’t switch it on or off.

    There are other ways to make it switchable, but i don’t use that, so can’t help you with that :P

    @reeged, 12, 16, 32 & 44 – As mentioned by kareem, the R2 is out in a few weeks (prolly the source for this) which CAN be classified as a DVDRip. For which the only rule is that the source is a RETAIL DVD. The only reason R5 is excluded is the lack of English audio from the studio (they mux either DVDScr, line, or some other audio track to them – CAM audio is banned).

    So, really, an R5 could be classified as a DVDRip if one was ever released with an English audio track – which is doubtful.

    i quite enjoyed it. not the best film ever, but entertaining enough. didnt deviate from the standard ‘one last big job’ movie format but it was reasonably well paced, and there were enough sub plots to not make it entirely predictable. plus all the early 70s fashion stuff was nicely done. and cute girls. cute girls helped.

    i can see why some people might say its overhyped, but ive definitely seen MUCH worse.

    ReeGeed, the TRG R5 was 2 cds as well…and how is this rip excellent when there is a repeat scene where the two cd’s join?!

    You’d might as well have posted all those p2p rips since they would have been no worse then this “retail” (fake) dvdrip.

    This movie is excellent and so is the rip. its true that a second of scene is repeated on disk 2 but if you know how to use virtualdub you’ll have no probs.
