The Andromeda Strain 2008 Part1 and 2 DVDRip XviD-SAiNTS

I wrote about a fairly interesting Sci-fi movie The Andromeda Strain like a month ago when group FoV released this flick as PDTV rip. The quality was fine, but if you want to really enjoy both parts of this AE TV production based on the novel by Michael Crichton, this fresh dvdrip from SAiNTS is the right thing to get. Each part is ripped on 1 CD with AC3 audio.

A U.S. satellite crash-lands near a small town in Utah, unleashing a deadly plague that kills virtually everyone except two survivors, who may provide clues to immunizing the population. As the military attempts to quarantine the area, a team of highly specialized scientists is assembled to find a cure and stop the spread of the alien pathogen, code-named Andromeda.

    Davy, if you live in the US both parts should have been on last night. 5/27/08, which was a Tuesday. Part 1 was on 5/26/08, and then part 2 was on the next day, with part 1 before it. But you should’ve been able to see both parts. Anyway, I agree, it was a good movie. Don’t know why you don’t think so tv-bug. I thought parts were predictable, but it was still pretty good. And the predictable parts are really what you’d expect from a sci-fi movie. I’d recommend for anyone to download this. I probably will just to have it for the future.

    this was actually on a few weeks ago in the USA, i guess it was repeated which is what the posters above are getting dizzy about.

    Unfortuantely iw was compelte crap and the original, which is over 30 years old is still better.

    Actually Monday was the premier of it, on Memorial Day. So I don’t know what your talking about it being on a few weeks ago. I haven’t seen the original, good entertaining movie but predictable.

    Don’t know if it aired a few weeks ago but late April the 1st part was released. Not sure if it was a DVD rip or what but eztv had the torrents.
    Movie was so so, second half starting pushing belivability of it. But yeah, there’s a point where the “top scientists” prove they’re so not top of the line. Right at the end of the first half… ugh.

    Hey, on new torrents it says that it is “nuked”. Does anybody know what for? Just curious. I read the book by Michael Crichton and it was outstanding. If the movie is anything like the book I am sure it will be great. Congo was another book they made into a movie by Michale Crichton and it was pretty good too.

    If you read the book and liked it then don’t watch this movie, you will only be disappointed.

    The book was basically about how all of man’s technological achievements could be undone by a simple piece of paper, where as the mini-series (let’s call it what it actually is) is more about paranoia and conspiracy theories.

    The ending would have to be the most pathetic bit of drama I have ever seen. I won’t spoil it for those that plan to watch it but let’s just say I was laughing hysterically at what was supposed to be a tension filled sequence.

    Saw the original movie about 8 years ago. Was really looking forward to this but it did disappoint. The essential aspect of the original (baby and old man) play almost no role and this makes it only an okay (extremely long) sci-fi flick.

    Yeah, Recount was great. Not sure about the facts as it is Fiction and has at least some bias simply through the perspective taken. But overall it matched my truth.

    This one(andromeda strain) on the other hand was ok but very old news.

    It’s a remake of a lot of movies - I know of 3 previous versions of “Andromeda Strain” alone , let alone clones (good clones) like “Omega Man’ and ‘I am legend’. First I recall was (I think) a BBCTV version many yrs ago - and a 1971 Robert Wise version which was quite good (in a B-movie kind of way)
