As far as for my statement that there are no A/V asynchronicity problems, I need to mention that I watch the AVI on a PC, I do not transcode them to Video-DVD. So I can not vouche for a problem-free DVD-Video transcode.

it is as #40 and #41 mention: At times the right channel has no signal at all, at other times the right channel has the atmospheric sound, but no dialogue. The same is true for the left channel.

But that happens only every now and then. I have a 2.0 setup here, and it is not so very annoying. Though it is not nice neither. The guliverkli Media Player Classic (MPC) has an custom channel matrix mapper in the audio options. I used it to quickly mirror the left channel signal to the right channel output at times when the right channel signal went blank. Obviously at these times audio is only mono, but since the movie itself is pretty much something that I like, I was happy to put up with the audio hiccups.

No A/V synch problems though.

I have not tried the Neptune Repack of this movie, since there wheren’t sharehoster links as good as those for the original Neptune widescreen release.

I gave it a solid 8 points on IMDB, feeling like 9 points could also be right. Some segments remind me of Magnolia (that glorious Paul Thomas Anderson movie from 1999), especially with some of the music.

i watched half of this movie and i rather like it so far but the sound issue is pissing me off
the sound is very quiet and there is something weird with channels
someone NUKE this or something
i would like to see a proper release, and i don’t want to download 4,5GB version…

No, I have the same problem with the sound.
Pretty bad and annoying. I can´t a rather bad picture, bad a bad sound with missing channels is just meh.

Is it just me or is the audio corrupt on this release? I have a 5.1 setup and it echoes around my room because the right channel audio dissapears in large parts of this movie. If i switch to right channel only its completely silent. I’ve tried in both WMP and VLC. Could my audio codecs be corrupt or is it the movie?

RT is wrong. As always to be honest. Dont most people only go by IMDB anyways? ‘8.0′ on IMDB is very impressive. Considering ‘No Contry For Old Men’ got 8.2 and thats oviously a movie of great quality. Which it is and I love it this ‘The Air I Breathe’ is also a good film. The only bad thing is its slow. But such a great overall film. Acting is great, as you’d expect from some pretty much top stars. Download and enjoy…
