Test Drive Unlimited CLONEDVD-PROCYON

Guys from PROCYON released a new CloneDVD of a pretty good racing game Test Drive Unlimited. This finally looks like some decent title after the months of game crap - one would almost think it’s not a computer game but the reality - it looks so good. Test Drive Unlimited is well known for all XboX 360 players, because this is a PC conversion. We can expect a cracked version soon, but in meanwhile, you can play with this sweetie. Insstructions are simple: unpack, mount with latest dt4, install, use included loader, play!

The ultimate automotive and lifestyle gaming experience, Test Drive Unlimited lets gamers race over more than 1000 miles of diverse, photo-realistic Hawaiian terrain with 90 licensed cars and bikes from the world’s most exclusive manufacturers. With a challenging single player game and host of online options enabling gamers to interact with thousands of others simultaneously, Test Drive Unlimited is racing reinvented.

The PC game has been painstakingly adapted and configured to get the very best out of the latest cutting edge PC hardware, allowing it to be played in extremely high resolution with the incredible effects taking the visuals of Test Drive Unlimited to a stunning new level. No monthly subscription is required to play. An already highly successful closed beta test will be followed by an open beta in January 2007 with the aim of ensuring that the PC game is perfect in technical and gameplay terms.

Game features:

  • Test Drive Unlimited redefines the racing genre: over 1000 miles of tropical Hawaiian roadways, instant challenges launched with a flash of the headlights, online functionality allowing thousands of gamers to play and up to 8 to race against each other, and much more.
  • New Hardcore Mode: Available in free-ride and multiplayer challenges, simulation mode will expand the experience for players looking for ultra-realistic driving for both cars and bikes. For the cars, telemetric data shows the actual physics modelled on real life parameters (independent grip for each tyre, weight transfer with G-meter, suspension, etc). Adapted to steering wheels and the standard controller, the hardcore mode shows drivers exactly where they succeed and where they need to improve, pushing their driving skills and the vehicles to the very limits;
  • Online community: launching in January 2007, www.testdriveunlimited.com/community will play host to a global community of elite racers with Player of the Week section, Leaderboards, Hall of Fame showing top scores in real time, ability to load gamer profiles to compare scores, and more;
  • TrackIR™ support: Innovative TrackIR technology from NaturalPoint® delivers an unprecedented level of view control, allowing players to look all around the cockpit of their cars using natural head motions for a more immersive and realistic experience;
  • Seamless online connection: Unlimited new challenges, opponents and competitions;
    Configured for steering wheels: the PC game will work with most existing wheels, and includes manual clutch management (3 pedals) and H shifter to let players get the very best out of the new Hardcore mode;
  • 90 licensed vehicles: Cars and bikes from exclusive manufacturers including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Aston Martin, Mercedes, Saleen, Shelby, and Jaguar; Realistic cars and bikes: Amazing render quality and unrivalled interior details including full car functions such as radio, electric windows, horn and more;
  • Personalisation: Upgrade each car or bike with options from the actual manufacturers’ catalogue. Players create unique characters, buy new homes and garages, and tune and upgrade vehicles with performance kits and new paint jobs;
  • Create challenges or races from more than 50 game rules and settings. Upload self-created challenges online to become part of the player community;
  • In-game communities: Players can create or join a club to talk, chat, trade, race or organize club-based competitions and tournaments;

    Procyon’s NFO’s are really fucked up.

    Although, the one of this Might and Magic game, in which they were talking about online games and small penises and vagines, made me smile a bit.

    You ‘ll have to delete the paul.dll file

    It is in the map on your mds/mdf file
    Go to:
    Program files/Atari/Test Drive Unlimited

    So DONT search the file on your harddisk!
    Its in the image file!
    So you must mount the image with deamon tools/alcohol 120%
    Then you are be able to delete the file on your mounted image

    **Sorry for my bad english**

    Respect to post 77, more of the same.

    But it amuses me to see the posts that were added afterwards. My only concern was how long I had to disconnect from the internet.

  15. toca
    March 9th, 2007 | 19:52

    I thought the game was a fake but i had hope. Once i downloaded the fixed image and mounted the correct one “MDS” made sure the internet connet was off put in code worked great with hdr off some time gets glichy just restart game no problem play for hours for those people that entered the code and doent work NKEM-Q25E-LAUZ-4W3T you probly had the internet on. simply reinstalling the game dont work the code stays in the reg or somewere else you must find that and erase or use the drive image and factory reset your computer

  16. toca
    March 9th, 2007 | 19:57

    post 113 probly had a firewall

  17. fca
    March 9th, 2007 | 20:03

    yeah i had firewall!!
    for game that i get online always leave my firewall
    prevent shit like that ! alot of game hav ethat issue u just block it it will prevent the game to connect to their server!!

    easier than disconnecting ur internet!!!

    The Gamecopyworld Forum says you’ll need to deinstall Blindwrite. I’m gonna try now and wanted to forward it for you as I can imagine a lot of you are using it.

  19. March 9th, 2007 | 23:56

    Hello !!!!

    IF U WANT TO PLAY, LOAD in daemontools the *mds extension not the *.mdf

    If ask for serial after enter in game use this :

    NKEM-Q25E-LAUZ-4W3T

    March 10th, 2007 | 06:57

    Guys the game has video issues. I first was using the lowest quality settings and my 4g ram, amd 5000+ AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual pc,7950 GTX Nvidia video card, was not able to play this game. It was slow as hell. I thought that my computer sucks. When i turned the settings to the highest possible resolution to HDR to 4X anti-aliasing and highest quality it worked marvelously.
    I is super high quality. So dont use the lowest settings or it will not work.

  24. March 10th, 2007 | 07:47

    actually being stupid isnt easy, either takes a lot of drugs, or a lot of hard work to make people underestimate you while you plot for the the day that you will be able to rise above everyone around you (sounded better in my head, time for bed)

    hmm ill try it all on high settings, i got basicly the same computer as you and it runs slow as hell on low settings

    March 10th, 2007 | 22:23

    SO….
    I went to install this, and the first time I messed it up.
    It loads data into your registry to prevent the game from ever running correctly even if you get all the settings correct from that time on. If you are having major issues, follow the link they provide in the error message. install the Microsoft tools pack, and their VB script, run both, then reboot, reload the maxi image in DT, set the DT protections, run the YASU, run the game…etc, etc.

    But once you mess it up and get the stopper, you have to rerun that VB script from secrurom to patch the registry so you can attempt it again. The mistake I had was I messed it up the first time, had all the right settings, just didnt have the reset to be able to let the good procedure go through.

    Hope this helps some of you.

  27. Gregg
    March 11th, 2007 | 11:30

    Do you happen to know the url for the link they provide? I only get an email address in the error message I get.

  28. March 11th, 2007 | 12:12

    I made everything what filip007 have written down…and it doesn’t work for me:(. I have read all the forums where the serial problem is in, nothing:(.
    Have to be all the Daemon options and emulations ON? (secure mode, automount, etc.; safedisk, securerom, etc.)

  29. Zetsubou
    March 11th, 2007 | 13:12

    I was wondering why is the file named “pro-tedu.mds.avi” Why is it a movie file? Do I need to rename it and take out the .avi, or do I need to just mount it?

  30. Filip007
    March 11th, 2007 | 15:39

    You don’t need any options set with Daemon tools just install…if like you can try with all off or all on…it works both…

    hammerbzs do you any errors ???

  31. March 11th, 2007 | 22:00

    @ Knuckleduster (post 89):

    Go to your device manager and turn of some HID devices (Disable them one by one until the game runs).

    A friend of mine had trouble starting this game when we where running the BETA. One of the HID devices prevented his game to be started…

    Good luck !

    Just for people that are wondering if their computer can run the game. I have a…

    Athlon XP 2000+
    Radeon 9600XT
    1024MB RAM PC2100

    And I run the game at an average of 15FPS with 1024×768, and medium quality. Changing the quality one up, or one down results in one more, or one less FPS. Changing the resolution results in about two more or two less FPS.

  38. March 12th, 2007 | 19:30

    I get the same message as sike (conflict with emulation software) but when I try to delete the paul.dll it wont let me it says access denied

    guys I’ve already used all the possible techniques that you had described and it still doesn’t work.
    I downloaded: pro-tedu (pro-tedu.mdf and pro-tedu.mds); NS-TDU_MI and YASU.
    Could any1 describe (step by step) how to use those data in order to play tdu. I know that it was already mentioned in post77, but I must be doing sth work. Waiting for your help.

    regards folks

    March 12th, 2007 | 22:13

    First of all sorry for my english :)
    I’ve tried to run tdu for 3 days, and finally i figure out how do do it.
    1. Create new user profile
    2. disconnect internet
    3. turn off firewall and antivirus software
    4. install game
    5. run yasu
    6. enter cdkey
    7. play

    I don’t know why, but it won’t work on first profile.
    It won’t work when you run yasu during install

    March 14th, 2007 | 22:12

    just like LtKlopps said, this procedure works for real…

    TDU already connects to the server during the installation and so the activation will be required…

    do it as said, start the game one time without internet and enter the serial there and you will have no problems in future, also with internet…

    but i got a problem with the game itself ^^ it crashes often during gameplay :D

    any suggestions?

    I had troubles all the time as well, and now I have the solution. It was mentioned before to some extent, but I’ll just repost it since it worked for me.

    Problem is, when the game “gets” you are probably using an illegal version, you are not going to have it working without a reinstall.

    So, to get it working, I did:
    - Uninstall of the game
    - Deletion of the directory (maybe you have some remaining files, DO CHECK)
    - Disconnect from internet
    - Turn all Daemon options ON
    - Install
    - Turn all Daemon options OFF
    - Run Yasu
    - Run the game

    No directory copying, no serial numbers (AT ALL!), no register screens, no image renaming, nothing else except for the steps mentioned above. Good luck!

  71. March 16th, 2007 | 17:32

    niels. what keyword did you search for in the directory to find the files that stop test drive from working?

  72. niels
    March 16th, 2007 | 18:04

    At first, I copied the directory from the dvd to the install directory. Those files were not uninstalled. After unistall, I didn’t search for anything. I just removed the game directory from my HD.

    Looking at my post I saw I forget to mention the mounting of the other image. :/

  73. March 16th, 2007 | 20:36

    well i have installed and then had to reinstalle the game and now there is some kinda protection patch in the directory. when i try to play the game it tells me for a unlock code. so i just deleted everything that was test drive related in the windows directory. i hope the anti hack patch is deleted. ill try to installe again later and ill let you guys know. but to be honest im sick of installing and uninstalling the game 100 times. one reason is cause i have it for 360:P

    GOT IT!!!

    Ok, the problem was that yasu was not working correctly. I originally set DT to mount on drive e and I guess Yasu wasnt hiding that. I tried switching it to some other drive and it worked. Try that out.

    Hey guys, did you notice that the game installation is so long ?

    It takes about 15 minutes (or more) to install it. How about you, does it take that long ?

    AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.6GHz
    1GB DDR400
    Radoen X600 256MB HyperMemory

    At 1024×800 at LOW-Quality do you think it’s gonna lagg ?

    Something I wanna tell you it’s a huge problem concerning Deamon-Tools or Alcohol 120%

    I’m using Windows Vista RTM 32bit Ultimate
    When I install deamon-tools or alcohol 120% my CPU Usage is normal then when I reboot (restart) because I want to, my cpu usage goes goes to 60%~70% (because of the installed deamon-tools or alcohol) do you have a solution or do you know why it’s doing that or did it happen to you) ?
    My solution was to uninstall deamon-tools then my cpu usage comes normal again (0~5~10%)

    Hey guys will Ati 9250 work for this game god man please i need to know

  84. kooklook
    March 17th, 2007 | 01:52

    It won’t play smoothly even with the Lowest Quality Settings (minimum graphic details) I don’t suggest you to play that game with that card 9250 is the most basic card for gaming. You can try, but set all minimum even resolution set it to 800×600 at 16bits

    March 17th, 2007 | 02:08

    GAB, oh god, I had a 9250 a while ago. I bought a 9600XT, and at the worst res and quality I get like 10FPS.

    Sorry it didn’t work out for u guys. I didn’t get any errors you got. I only got the regkey nag screen, but after those steps (including mounting the second image), I noticed the nag screen didn’t show up at all.

    Please, to the people that have it installed and running correctly: somehow, if you mess up at first, it is very hard to get it to work at all. Do not assume we don’t read at all.

    And for the release I installed, the NFO added was uninformative at best.

    March 17th, 2007 | 12:21

    I also get the “Conflict with Emulation software” message. I’ve tried with Daemon Tools 4.06 and 4.08 with options On and Off, with multiple virtual drives, with YASU 1.07, with AntiSecuROM 1.2, with the PROCYON images and the fixed images from GameCopyWorld (I also tried to mix them). I was not connected to the internet the whole time. Didn’t have troubles with the paul.dll file cause it is not installed with the game. I think the only thing I didn’t try is to create a new Windows accout (I read all the posts). I’ll try that. anyway, does someone has other ideas ?

  91. HX
    March 17th, 2007 | 12:24

    @niels
    do you think that if I install it on another “clean” PC with the proper instructions it’ll work ? (cause I’m running my 7th installation here I understood you said if you mess up the 1st, it is kind of “the end” ^^)

    March 17th, 2007 | 12:43

    i have tried 1000 times and every time when i try to mount the image it says
    “unable to mount image. invalid image file”
    what should i do.
    i downloaded the .mds and. mdf. from gamecopyworld and still nothing.
    even with yasu - same message
    wtf

  93. HX
    March 17th, 2007 | 12:50

    @pasu
    check your Daemon Tools installation. I doubt it’s a problem with the game…

    oups mess that post

    that’s what I just did (no internet connection) :
    created a new Windows accout
    installed Daemon Tools 4.08
    turned all options ON
    mounted MDS from GCW renamed in “pro-tedu.mds” so it loaded “pro-tedu.mdf” data into the drive
    installed the game
    turned DT options OFF
    launched YASU
    launched the game…same message

    I dont understand, YASU worked fine with Supreme Commander first released, which has the same SecuROM protection I think. They have removed it now, how cool are they ! ;)

    Oui, j’ai le meme message, mais tout le monde a le meme message c’est normal. J’vais te dire quoi faire, ouvre Task Manager et ouvre YASU et assure toi avec Task Manager dans la section “Processes” que YASU est bien la, si t’a ouvert YASE et tu ne le vois pas, re-ouvre YASU et tu cas le voir.

    (What I said is that when you run Yasu then open Task Manager to see if YASU is actually running, if it’s not then re-open YASU and you’ll see that it’s gonna run in task manager.)
