Guys from PROCYON released a new CloneDVD of a pretty good racing game Test Drive Unlimited. This finally looks like some decent title after the months of game crap – one would almost think it’s not a computer game but the reality – it looks so good. To play on-line you’ll need to have a legit cd-key as always. No LAN support, so Hamachi won’t work. You’ll need to buy the game. You can always start an off-line profile using one of the warez or beta keys and see if you like the game, and if you want to get it online… buy it.
This is not cracked yet. The release that got first onto USENET was by MILKMAN, and then PROCYON released their CLONEDVD because they’re SCENE. And stuff. You know, cool, leet guys. For me PROCYON’s release on this is no more of a dupe of an independent CLONEDVD release. But anyway, it’s not cracked. You’ll have to mount the image and use Yasu to hide your drives.

Well it looks like it needs a keygen of some sort.
To make things clearer – if you try to activate the game without ‘firewalling’ the TDU or disconnecting from internet, it won’t activate [duh]. Also, if you do ‘firewall’ TDU and don’t allow it internet access, you can activate it manually, but you need to input a ‘unlock code’ [which may be influenced by 'unlock request code'] about which I have no info lol.

I did everything like you guys have said, but my tdu still won’t start after installation. What is wrong? I used newest DT with all emulation options on, after installation I used YASU, and then mounted fixed-image.

start the game , and type the key
i guess the common problem is when i unpacked the .rar files i forgot to unpack the loader (mds) file…….which gave me the error which you all are getting.
Once you all have unpacked the disc image for the main game, there is another file that needs to be unpacked (its the .mds) file. So first install the game, then load the .mds file through daemon tools (its in kb) then run yasu. Once you have done this, go to my computer double click on the loaded mds, and hopefully the game should start. Mine started……..

Works better than I expected here after seeing those sys reqs; I think those aren’t “minimum” specs but “recommended” because My system only outdoes the specs by a relatively small margin, and it runs wonderfully.

i play on my laptop….i have a core duo processor with 1 gb ram and an nvidia go 7400 graphics card but still the game is a bit slow in 1024×768. I had to change resolution and at the same time minimize quality and only then it works smooth. Is it because of vista ??

Everytime I launch the game, It request to activate it with a serial (that make sense), I tried with serial given above, of course, the activation failed for each serial, I tried the activation while blocking the firewall, same issue (normal).
So, Can you explain me how you can activate a software which require an internet connnection by definition by blocking the firewall ?

well it seems they have blocked the serials on their servers now. the leaked serials worked a few hours so some ppl got it working but when we who did not get the game until now try it fails…

so to get things working, read carefully:
1) Download Test_Drive_Unlimited_CLONEDVD-PROCYON.rar (It seems you all did already
2)Download the No DVD/Fix DVD Image from GamecopyWorld from http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_test_drive_unlimited.shtml

3) Unpak the No DVD/Fix DVD Image File 2 (in Words: two) times! Until you get the NS-TDU_MAXI-poseden.mdf File.
4) Download Yasu 1.07 (Google for it to find).
5) IMPORTANT: NOW! DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET! The best way is to pull the ethernet cable or cancel you dsl contract
: Deactivation of your Ethernat cards is also possible..
No.. Better do both! Cancel and deactivate
6) Install Test_Drive_Unlimited. It seems that even at installation a connection is reported. If not, DO IT ANYWAY, so u wont forget it later.
7) AFTER INSTALLATION: Mount the NS-TDU_MAXI-poseden.mdf File (you just unpaked it in #3) with at least DEAMON TOLLS 4.08HE. Unmount the Test_Drive_Unlimited Image from the illegal download
if necessary.
9) Execute Yasu (downloaded in #4) now (Tells u something about devices and succesfully hidden devices and so on, dont care about it)
10) Note the following serial on your inside hand (use a black waterproof marker): NKEM-Q25E-LAUZ-4W3T

I never had Probs even with Internet activated… don’t know why half gets it working without problems and others don’t get it working at all.
Finally got it to work. Here’s what I did:
1. mount the MDS [!] with DT and install the game. All emulation options on.
2. run YASU.
3. launch the game. It should load up the game, not the activation window. Then you will be able to input the serial, in-game.
4 play play play.
That’s pretty much what testdriver adviced, and honestly, didn’t think that loading up mds instead of mdf makes such a huge difference lol. Anyways, nice game.

(ofcourse after install it, mount MAXI image and Turn-On Yasu)

hello. i saw ur posts. followed the instructions. but get confussed. some people say that they just skip the serial request screen. some say that u have to be connected and enter a good serial. and some say u can even activate the game offline. i tried it and it just dose not work. when i activate offline it says cannot connect to servers. and if i do it online of course it wont accept the serials

its not possible to play online. only way is offline if u dont buy a serial.
we are trying to figure out how to play it offline. now the problem is i deleted the folder with the image to installe the game again. u think i have to re-installe or should i just installe norton again and block it with the firewall (think i allowed it for the first time for some dum reason)
Played the game for a couple of hours… A whole island to explore, but with the lack of other details, such as different lighting settings (I experienced only 2 “weather types”, consisting of 2 different sky textures, and no night at all), poor music and sound, or more realistic driving conditions (NFS no-rules tank-style driving all over again)… The game is average at best.
apperantly, this is the Last release by PROCYON, after this they’re quitting the Scene. sad
i agree with post 92.
the game world lacks a lot of detail. almost all of the plants are 2D. and the lack of textures kinda dull the game down.
and no night? seriousley? man that sucks.
and yeh the lighting also does suck.
i think they spent all their time designing the super fine looking cars which do look amazing!
the Google Earth type SatNav is also a great feature.
some real time damage would be nice.

I got it installed and it runs but then after a short while the damn thing stops responding! I can’t move the mouse! But I can see the background animation still going and I can press escape to get to menus! Help!

Well installed easily enough just followed Comment 77 and worked perfectly, runing it on low graphic settings even thou i got a kick ass computer and its extreamly laggy, how the car reacts sucks, sound blows goats, has some good potential to be a wicked game but didnt do it for me

if u didnt get the cd key to work your computer was CONECTED TO THE INTERNET, uninstall, then reinstall, follow other steps, then DISCOUNECT before u start game for first time to put cd key in
You ‘ll have to delete the paul.dll file
It is in the map on your mds/mdf file
Go to:
Program files/Atari/Test Drive Unlimited
So DONT search the file on your harddisk!
Its in the image file!
So you must mount the image with deamon tools/alcohol 120%
Then you are be able to delete the file on your mounted image

But it amuses me to see the posts that were added afterwards. My only concern was how long I had to disconnect from the internet.
I thought the game was a fake but i had hope. Once i downloaded the fixed image and mounted the correct one “MDS” made sure the internet connet was off put in code worked great with hdr off some time gets glichy just restart game no problem play for hours for those people that entered the code and doent work NKEM-Q25E-LAUZ-4W3T you probly had the internet on. simply reinstalling the game dont work the code stays in the reg or somewere else you must find that and erase or use the drive image and factory reset your computer

Guys the game has video issues. I first was using the lowest quality settings and my 4g ram, amd 5000+ AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual pc,7950 GTX Nvidia video card, was not able to play this game. It was slow as hell. I thought that my computer sucks. When i turned the settings to the highest possible resolution to HDR to 4X anti-aliasing and highest quality it worked marvelously.
I is super high quality. So dont use the lowest settings or it will not work.
actually being stupid isnt easy, either takes a lot of drugs, or a lot of hard work to make people underestimate you while you plot for the the day that you will be able to rise above everyone around you (sounded better in my head, time for bed)

I went to install this, and the first time I messed it up.
It loads data into your registry to prevent the game from ever running correctly even if you get all the settings correct from that time on. If you are having major issues, follow the link they provide in the error message. install the Microsoft tools pack, and their VB script, run both, then reboot, reload the maxi image in DT, set the DT protections, run the YASU, run the game…etc, etc.
But once you mess it up and get the stopper, you have to rerun that VB script from secrurom to patch the registry so you can attempt it again. The mistake I had was I messed it up the first time, had all the right settings, just didnt have the reset to be able to let the good procedure go through.

I was wondering why is the file named “pro-tedu.mds.avi” Why is it a movie file? Do I need to rename it and take out the .avi, or do I need to just mount it?
You don’t need any options set with Daemon tools just install…if like you can try with all off or all on…it works both…

Hi guys these system requirements are not right i can run this game fine on a X800 Raedon Video Card but i think that is the lowest card it can run on…
is anybody else havin sound issues with this game?
i get sound in the opening videos, but as soon as the game starts, it all goes mute. no sound at all!
oh and BTW, you can install and run the game on lower versions of DT. down to 4.03 was lowest i tried with all options off.
Those indications are good, the cd-key is correct the game runs but this method is not good for every computer.Some will have to wait for a crack.

And I run the game at an average of 15FPS with 1024×768, and medium quality. Changing the quality one up, or one down results in one more, or one less FPS. Changing the resolution results in about two more or two less FPS.

3. turn off firewall and antivirus software
4. install game
5. run yasu

7. play

Create new profile (in windows) and then install tdu (with internet disconnected), after install don’t copy these files (paul.dll etc.). Run YASU run the game, enter cdkey.
I’ve tried it on 5 pc’s of my friends and it works!! You’re doing something wrong.

it is windowed dialog with unlock code and serial? if yes something is wrong, you should see fullscreen dialog.

I have tried it exactly like you said and many many different ways, no matter what i still get the “Conflict with Emulation Software detected” msg everytime…i have tried using the crak and original game image…i can access the cd from the game image and can see everything on the cd but the game just wont start or get to the cd-key screen……there is gatta be a fix for this crap msg!!!!

I’ve created the savegame directory, put the saves into it and on start, TDU always asks me to create a new profile.

I had troubles all the time as well, and now I have the solution. It was mentioned before to some extent, but I’ll just repost it since it worked for me.
Problem is, when the game “gets” you are probably using an illegal version, you are not going to have it working without a reinstall.
So, to get it working, I did:
- Uninstall of the game
- Deletion of the directory (maybe you have some remaining files, DO CHECK)
- Disconnect from internet
- Turn all Daemon options ON
- Install
- Turn all Daemon options OFF
- Run Yasu
- Run the game
No directory copying, no serial numbers (AT ALL!), no register screens, no image renaming, nothing else except for the steps mentioned above. Good luck!
niels. what keyword did you search for in the directory to find the files that stop test drive from working?
At first, I copied the directory from the dvd to the install directory. Those files were not uninstalled. After unistall, I didn’t search for anything. I just removed the game directory from my HD.
Looking at my post I saw I forget to mention the mounting of the other image. :/
well i have installed and then had to reinstalle the game and now there is some kinda protection patch in the directory. when i try to play the game it tells me for a unlock code. so i just deleted everything that was test drive related in the windows directory. i hope the anti hack patch is deleted. ill try to installe again later and ill let you guys know. but to be honest im sick of installing and uninstalling the game 100 times. one reason is cause i have it for 360:P

Ok, the problem was that yasu was not working correctly. I originally set DT to mount on drive e and I guess Yasu wasnt hiding that. I tried switching it to some other drive and it worked. Try that out.

When I install deamon-tools or alcohol 120% my CPU Usage is normal then when I reboot (restart) because I want to, my cpu usage goes goes to 60%~70% (because of the installed deamon-tools or alcohol) do you have a solution or do you know why it’s doing that or did it happen to you) ?
My solution was to uninstall deamon-tools then my cpu usage comes normal again (0~5~10%)

Sorry it didn’t work out for u guys. I didn’t get any errors you got. I only got the regkey nag screen, but after those steps (including mounting the second image), I noticed the nag screen didn’t show up at all.
Please, to the people that have it installed and running correctly: somehow, if you mess up at first, it is very hard to get it to work at all. Do not assume we don’t read at all.
And for the release I installed, the NFO added was uninformative at best.
I also get the “Conflict with Emulation software” message. I’ve tried with Daemon Tools 4.06 and 4.08 with options On and Off, with multiple virtual drives, with YASU 1.07, with AntiSecuROM 1.2, with the PROCYON images and the fixed images from GameCopyWorld (I also tried to mix them). I was not connected to the internet the whole time. Didn’t have troubles with the paul.dll file cause it is not installed with the game. I think the only thing I didn’t try is to create a new Windows accout (I read all the posts). I’ll try that. anyway, does someone has other ideas ?

created a new Windows accout
installed Daemon Tools 4.08
turned all options ON
mounted MDS from GCW renamed in “pro-tedu.mds” so it loaded “pro-tedu.mdf” data into the drive
installed the game
turned DT options OFF
launched YASU
launched the game…same message
I dont understand, YASU worked fine with Supreme Commander first released, which has the same SecuROM protection I think. They have removed it now, how cool are they !

Oui, j’ai le meme message, mais tout le monde a le meme message c’est normal. J’vais te dire quoi faire, ouvre Task Manager et ouvre YASU et assure toi avec Task Manager dans la section “Processes” que YASU est bien la, si t’a ouvert YASE et tu ne le vois pas, re-ouvre YASU et tu cas le voir.
(What I said is that when you run Yasu then open Task Manager to see if YASU is actually running, if it’s not then re-open YASU and you’ll see that it’s gonna run in task manager.)

ok guys heres the scoop there if ya cant run test drive and all else fails just remove your ide cable from your cd/dvd burner then try to run the game yasu is a cd/dvd burner hider so if ya pull off ide theres no need for yasu. The newest release today that works with test drive is.. Y.A.S.U.YetAnotherSecuROMUtilityv1.1build7033 it also works with a handfull of newer titles as well. unfortunatly gamecopyworld saw that this was not a public release of the new yasu today so they have removed it from there server. so do a search for yasu build 7 0 3 3 good luck all and the game rockz solid

Okey guys i finally got passed the “conflict with emulation” msg, but now i get the “This software must be activated prior to use. For activation, a valid SERIAL is essential” window and every key i input is not working. I noticed people had this problem and i did uninstall and than install with no interent…its funny i can get to the activation window with or without yasu! what the hell is going on??? Any new serials out there that i could try???? Any further help is appriciated!

I have something completely diffirent to everyone here, I get a message after openning the exe file saying the licence date has expired. I have also tried mounting the mdf file in daemon and using yasu but nothing. The file i mounted says the file is corrupt when i try to open it. Help!

Playing offline its so easy:
-1 Execute yasu.exe, it says “Y.A.S.U had found and hidden devices… etc etc” Press Accept.
-2 Load the mdf file with Daemon Tools. You need version 4.0.6 or newer (yasu says that when you open it, but assholes here doesn’t seem to be reading anything)
-3 The “conflict emulation” thing error will not appear now.
-4 You must be now on the game, if it doesn’t open by itself when you load the mdf file with Daemon, open it manually.
-5 Create an OFFLINE profile (don’t click on the Gamespy option) and put some random key from the internets like:
NKEM-Q25E-LAUZ-4W3T.
DON’T try to go online if you don’t have an original KEY (buy the fucking game if you want to play online, there is NO WAY to surpass it at the moment, and I doubt anyone will manage crack it).
-6 Play.
P.D: Anyway, again: IF ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT SOMETHING TO PLAY ONLINE WITHOUT AND ORIGINAL COPY, POST IT HERE ASAP. I’ll probably end buying the game anyway, I DOUBT this is crackable at all.

I went through the whole method, that LtKlopps described on March 5th, but unfortunately it still does not work: after (the whole procedure) starting the program, the screen becomes dark, it is loading, then the Windows desktop comes back without any message. Who could help me? Can it be the problem, that my system is under the recommended sys requirements: AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 512 RAM, GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128 MB?

copy Test drive unlimited folder from your image to the installed folder and overwrite everything. See now you have the paul.dll whitch is the “activation wondow” loader in my opinion. I tried to remove it but than it just goes back to “emulation conflict” dilema….So now my problem is getting past the activation window, i did 3 reinstalls yesterday with no luck. Wish someone made a .exe crack…

as far as i know geforce 4 does not support shader 2.0, but if you say you can run nfsc than i am a little suprised as im sure it requires shaders…well, i have not played the game yet but my pc is not that much better than what you have…i still think the reason it wont start is your graphics card but i could be wrong mate.

When i load the mdf in daemon and open try to open the image in my computer it says H:\ is not accessible, the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Have i got a dud mdf file?
Im also still getting this message when launching TDU: TDU Public Beta. Licence date has expired. I cant get any further than this message box. I have daemon tools 4.3 Is this a problem?

If you load the fixed image it wont open it, you have to loead the original 3.5gig
The beta had keys that expired so you can not play it anymore
Don’t even try to play this game with a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel. It will stutter. There is no patch either (yet). However it still runs smoothly with just the keyboard on my old P4 3.2 GHz (2004), 1 GB RAM, and my new Radeon X1600 Pro (AGP 8x).

The problem is in your registry. I bet you have Blindwrite on your hdd. Uninstall it, reboot n’ the problem should be gone without messing around with your registry. Im pretty sure that will help you too.

@ Murc it definitly is your video card bro minimum requirement is an ATI 9800 you have a 9200 that’d be a reason why the game is glitchy/not working properly.
@ Matt if you got a veriosn with just all the files no .iso format file then simply use a program like Power Iso or Ultra Iso or any other iso makin program and make an iso out of those files and also make sure you have yasu installed and running before you try to mount the image and try to play it

No, there is no online crack and i dont think there ever will be one…they couldnt crack the offline mode either so that is why you are using yasu and deamon to play.
However, the game is in stores (i think today) someone might be able to do something….we shall see.

I had a lot of problems too, to start this game on my computer with a graphic card 128mb and no 2.0 shaders but 1.1 shaders. But i don’t work. Now i tested the game on my laptop with also a graphic card with 128mb but now with 2.0 shaders and it works very well. It’s not so very beautiful the game, but it works.
So for everybody, check if your graphic card has 2.0 shaders, if not, then you can your game throw away………

Ok I found my problem and it was very very dumb. Read this mali because you might be doing the same.
When I ran yasu I would ALWAYS run it twice because I THOUGHT it was disabling the drive hiding the first time running it and hiding the drives when you got the OK message that you have to press “Ok” or “Cancel” for. Its because I was dumb and never actually read the program messages. I just read it now and I found out that it hides the drives the first time you run it and UN-Hides them when you get the OK message.
It works fine now! Hope you were also making the same dumb mistale Mali!

Yeah, i have seached both of my drives for it…nothing…see, something that is very comman sence to me is : Once i copy the “test drive unlimited” folder to the install directory, the game lounches the activation window with or with out deamon or yasu…so…its the poaul.dll, but as soon as i remove it im back to the “emulation conflict” msg, my theory is that yasu is not hiding my drives so i removed the cables from my dvd and cd drive, didint work…im pretty sure i have tried almost everything to start it, i really wish someone could make a exe.crack! Im playing Stalker right now with no problems…great game by the way!

Try uninstalling deamon and make sure yasu is not running, also cant you try online in the game? Might ask you for cd-key than, another thing paul.dll lunches the activation window…check to see if it is in the install folder, if not maybe try to copy it from your “pirate” image…

It might be vista, but than again it might be game itself, try to dissconect your controller if you are using one and update your video drivers if you havent done so…check atari furums for more performance tips they got there!

suppose you already installed DT, and have both mds and mdf files.
1. uninstall the game,delete dir and clean the registry. search manually to be sure everything is clean
2. uninstall other CD/DVD emulator programs and clean the registry. eg : blindwrite, curerom, poweriso, etc…and deactivate the virtual drives (eg I:,G:) made by those programs.
3. restart and make sure there’s active only the virtual drive made with DT
4. activate ALL options in DT (both menu EMULATION and OPTIONS)
5. install the game
6. deactivate ALL options in DT (both menu EMULATION and OPTIONS)
7. run YASU
8. run TDU

I still think that the prob is in the registry. And by that i mean the damn game noticed something similar than blindwrite writes in registry.
My stupid advice : download blindwrite, start it, try the game, uninstall blindwrite, reboot and try the game again.

this fucking protection (SecuRom v.7++), i find no way through. I have tested all progis, no way. I think, the protection is to new. With the progis at the moment, you have no chnace to play this game. All anuals seems to be a fake. Everywhere i read that the mdf/mds from GCW don’t work. My virtual CD/DVD device is empty and i have no access to the drive. The warning means that something is wrong with the files (mdf/mds). I made my own iso, creat a image and mount that in deamon (newest version 4.03 HE) and hide with YASU (1.1 7033). Nothing happend. Yet, i wait for the no cd crack.

Use the Deviance crack on gamecopyworld. Make sure to copy the EURO folder that comes with it over the one in the install folder as well. It worked for me, I can play the whole SP game now.

for those getting error in data.cab , data1.cab , etc, while installing I think I found a solution, first, Internet connection CAN be active, just dont delete the program files/ati folder, dont delete anything, just have 3 copies of the game, one on image, one in dvd, and one in folder on hdd, then install, ignore when error apears, then try and reinstall with other copy, and keep doing it until it will FINALLY installs. Try also changing lenguages.

Currently I can’t find a good graphics card at the moment for PCI slots in Canada.
The ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI has Pixel Shader 1.4 and Vertex Shader 1.1 while the Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family 128 MB Shared(Onboard) has Pixel Shader 2.0 but no Vertex Shader. Not sure what you all are doing. If you dl the image file, mount it in Daemon Tools (newest version with all emulations on), install it full, run YASU ONCE, and enter the serial it will work. I had the emulation once because I accidentally hit YASU twice, but it works fine for me. No online though

I have a problem?! the game works just fine but when i get to the first race the game stops working or i cant push any button so i cant drive the first race and its very anoying god damn xS. Anyone got same problem? or a sollution!

Had this game all up n running for over six months with Daemon Tools and YASU. Now I installed the 1.66a update and no-cd fix to go with it, I get the same issues as Faith. Guess it’s back to square 1. Should be in bargain bins soon for a tenner(gets boring pretty quick offline n you’ve been around island once).

Hi there, i got slower PC as well, 2.2G AMD,1G ram, 6200 Geforce. How ever running it at 640×480 made it smooth enough to play. Also without Internet being connected i had huge slow downs for some reason. I did test that many times and i had very slow frame rates until I get back online and restarted game. Refresh rate overrides off helped little too and you can try RIVA TUNER 2.0 to get your graphics tuned to higher performance then quality. For all those who still cant run this. I have milkman’s release and yasu. I mount it in daemon 4.08 installed it, then exit daemon, but keep it mounted, used yasu to hide drives and turned it off from processes. Ofcourse turn everything else off, you can also turn off Norton in services if it helps you little. Then later, i upgraded to 2G ram and Geforce 7600 GS. That made it absolutely smooth in 1024×768, high quality, with no HDR. If you upgrade your game version with last patch, it will replace exe and yasu trick will fail. I did upgrade anyway to get extra cars but replaced executable back to original and little trick worked out. GOOD LUCK.

I downloaded the pirate version of TDU just to make sure my system could run it well. It did, so i bought the whole version.
I uninstalled the old and installed the new. And now it isnt asking for the regestrationkey.
I read something about deleting files from the regestry, but i dont really know how to do that, and wich files should be deleted. And are there more thing I should do?

For me, everthing worked perfectly until the first “race” were you are going to test if “You have choosen the right car for you”. I drive to the right destination and push enter, then I choose singelplayer, and then race… But the care is’nt there!?!? So the camera is circeling around and around and around… I can’t race !?!?

Although, 2gb of RAM is nowhere near enough if you want to continue using Vista (you must have a good reason, cos everyone knows Vista is crap) I’d recommend 4GB at least for gaming on Vista.

2.4ghz single core, 1.5GB, 128mb DDR3 geforce6600GT…i run fine with high level of details…i just left the other graphics as default…experience very little lag…except when an opponent during first few mins of gameplay passes me by in free ride…i lag for a second…but after a while of driving its smooth…i dont see why you need dual-core or an expensive machine to run this game…i even can alt-tab and run firefox, messenger…i think they over did the equirements…i was a bit worried too…but my pc has worked fine. (i do defrag and clean up my pc…registry etc…so my pc although behind my bro’s dual-core, dual graphics etc…i still manage)

I am stuck in a small issue.
After mounting the NS-TDU_MAXI-poseden.mdf file and turning on YASU i clicked on the desktop shortcut to start the game.It opened a small black box and my McAfee firewall asked if the application should be granted internet access (eventhough I had switched off my modem and disabled my internet connection) .
I cose “block all access” and the small black window closed.Next time I click the icon to start the game It just opens the small black box and closes it immediately.

Ok the reason the game DOESNT WORK BEGGINING AT FIRST RACE is that you downloaded the v1.66 (or somthing like that) crack you need to find the v1.00 crack and replace it with that. it works fine after that

Having the same problem as you Tom,downloaded patch to 1.66A version and HATRED crack…I´ve heard about something called triggers inside the game and that only vitality resolved that in their 1.00 crack…these triggers make some changes when securom isnt there or is changeg,dunno,something like a car that costs 160 000,costs 1 600 000…maybe this trigger is causing our problems…downloaded ZFtwo save game so I can play!

Update to latest Direct X, update your graphics drivers.
Reinstall the game.
Update game with 1.66 update.
Browse to Test Drive Unlimited installation folder and rename “TestDriveUnlimited.exe” to “TestDriveUnlimited.exe.bak”
Copy the HATRED 1.66 NoDVD “TestDriveUnlimited.exe” from the “htd-tdu6″ folder and paste it in the Test Drive Unlimited installation folder.
Copy the “EURO” folder from the “htd-tdu” folder (which is the first HATRED NoDVD you downloaded from GameCopyWorld) and paste it overwriting the original EURO folder (you should back this folder up first in case you want to update the game should a new patch be released).
Make sure you are disconnected from the INTERNET and start the game.
No, download the ViTALiTY TDU 1.0 crack from GCW and use the Euro folder from that instead of the original HATRED crack with uncracked triggers, and use the HATRED 1.66A exe. You won’t need to back up your original Euro folder because it doesn’t overwrite any files (at least for me). Without the Euro/Bnk/Ige folder you won’t be able to start the first race in the game. :S The DEViANCE one was apparently a hoax, though I have no idea if it works or not, so use the ViTALiTY one just to be safe.

there is a cache file that builds up over time. it causes TDU to hang when it is saving the game. delete the cache file and u wont have the crashing prob anymore. worked wonders for me. I can play fine now. its a wikid game.
the best thing to do is to buy the game!!! its cheap now!! u can buy it for 30$ and u can play online !!!

Henry, if you read the numerous previous posts you wouldn’t be in this position.
Update the game to 1.66A, download the VITALITY 1.0 crack and extract just the Euro folder into your TDU install folder, download the HATRED 1.66A crack and replace the original exe with it.

Part of one fix worked for me
Vinz posted a fix with upgrading to 1.66a and adding two 1.66a exe files.
For me it was not the exe that was wrong but thanks to Vinz i noticed i wass missing the IGE folder from my Bnk folder in my EURO content folder of Unlimited…

1.download the vitaly-crack for version 1.00 from megagames.com
2.copy one of the included folder in the given directory (both included folders are the same)

OK after several tries this is how I got it working (version 1.0)
* Download the Deviance 1.0 crack from Gamecopyworld. Vitality 1.0 should work too but I didn’t try it.
1) !Very important! Disable your LAN or Internet by right clicking on the icon->Disable
2) Install the game
3) Copy the crack contents into your game folder
4) Run the game
5) Use this serial NKEM Q25E LAUZ 4W3T
6) Play!
After you quit you can re-enable your LAN or Internet. If you try to run TD:U with LAN/Internet enabled you MUST block it with a firewall and don’t let it go online. But even with a block the fps starts to get choppy. The best way for it to work for me is to make sure the network icon is disabled BEFORE playing.
Oh yeah if you don’t know how to re-enable your LAN then go into Network Connections (under Settings) and just enable it again from there, it’s not hard xD

Would somebody with the original game disk uninstall their copy then run a program like fileWATCH or Advanced Registry Tracer, to save the state of the registry before reinstalling the game. When re-run the fileWATCH or similar program will output the additions made to the registry during installation of the game. This info can then be used to create a simple .reg file that can be double-clicked to add those entries to a system that doesn’t have them already. The 1.66 version update obviously looks there to determine the presence of a legitimate installation first, instead of just looking on the HDD. Otherwise, the error message “There is no Test Drive Unlimited installed on your system” will display and the update will fail.

For the 1st race not starting thingy….
1)update the game with 1.66a patch (search in google)
2)Download the hatred’s no dvd crack(1.66a crack )
2.1)from http://www.megagames.com/cracks/html/c922600_0.htm

3)extract both of ‘em.
4)FROM the gamecopyworld’s download…
copy the Euro contents into the respective folder of test dirve unlimited installation directory..(i.e. to copy the IGE folder into the Bnk folder of the installed directory)
5)From the megagames download
copy and replace with its cracked .exe file…
(cos game copy worlds version crack shows only 1.45 but the megagames shows 1.66)
6)then run de game and enter the serial..
