Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles S01E05 HDTV XviD-XOR

Queen’s Gambit: When Sarah’s friend Andy submits his computer into a chess competition, she revaluates his computer’s capabilities and worries where it could all lead. During the chess match, Sarah comes face-to-face with a stranger whose history is closely tied to hers.
Meanwhile at school, Cameron gets called into grief counseling and John makes a new friend in shop class. Agent Ellison discovers remnants from a terminator battle.

Totally agree with you, this show is one of the best on TV.
I love how in each episode they get Sarah and John into a disaster, and then Cameron gets them out. I thought it was going to get lame, but each week it only gets better!
this ep was better than the previous two, but still a number of goofs:
terminator walks through metal detector and it does not make a sound while in ep 3 it does.
it is uclear what happens to the terminator at the end but sarah & co leave the arm? which will end up with the military of course

Maybe you did not understand me well…when I said “this show is a disaster” I´m not meaning this episode alone, I MEANT all episodes, the complete show.
T1, T2 and even T3 were awesome movies…..how them become this piece of trash? don´t know.
don’t listen to the over the top negative opinions. The show is “what it is”… a TV show, and in my opinion a very entertaining one. The characters have depth, and each episode is well paced.
This episode was pretty good, no character is missed out, every story is followed, and without spoiling it, there was a great conversation between the female terminator, and her head of school department.
the point is, this is only the 5th episode. It’s still in it’s introductory stages, but still keeps you on your toes when the action commences.
It’s not a movie, it’s a TV show, and people have to except that. It’s better than terminator 3 that’s for sure.
I will point out one annoyance i have though… the actress who plays Sarah o’ Connor, is too Vein. Every expression she gives, she pouts her lips and squints her eyes. It’s really annoying. She makes us aware, that “she” is aware of the cameras…
She annoys me, but i accept it’s a TV show, and enjoy it for what it is, light entertainment. You should too.

Ok, then I totally disagree with you. I don’t know if you are watching the TV with your eyes closed when this show is on, or if maybe you are just a moron, but this is not a show that is a disaster.

This show sucks. Plain and simple.
I liked the 1st episode … after that … not sure. This latest episode hardly had anything interesting in it (my opinion) except for the last 15 minutes of the episode. I was yelling a few times how dull it was actually during the first half hour while I was watching it (I really did that, crazy !!) I was even considering quitting this show, maybe an episode or two more and that’ll be it for me. Terminator 1 and 2 were the best, the show is too watered down for TV network presentation, this is the problem.
why cant the terminator kill sarah then she were little? what about sarah dad? mom? just kill someone from the family tree! jeez…they can jump through time and all right?
I wanted to like this show, but it really lacks something. The characters aren’t even likable, they have no depth, and the only one with a personality is the cyber-babe. The John Conner character is a moron and the Sarah Conner character doesn’t look old enough to be John Conner’s mum (and she’s a moron).
It’s probably not fair to compare this show to Heroes or Reaper, but the latter two are way more engaging. Heroes for its originality and Reaper for reviving Brimstone with a better sense of humour.
I guess I’ll watch a couple more episodes to see if it gets better…

I like this show; it may not be as good as the movies but I rather watch this than Survivor or Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader or American Top Model or The Biggest Loser or Amazing Race or any of the CRAPPY Reality shows and game shows that are on TV now to fill in the spaces left by the lack of new episodes due to the strike!!
Yeah, the show is ludicrous sometimes. like when the guy’s super computer is destroyed and then he rebuilds it all in a week or less from what they are sayin’ … and all that from ‘memory’ … man, this made me laugh so hard ! Fun–ny ! Especially since in the last episode the guy was freaking out his stuff was destroyed, didn’t take a whole lot of time to make it work again !
I think they should have added a ‘laugh track’ in the background there, funny stuff !
The Terminator searching for John is not even that menacing, unlike in the movies where you were scared just watching Arnold and later that other guy (His name eludes me now) The violence is too often off screen. Imagine a show like that on cable tv, wow, they could finally show us something good, then it would be worth watching, violence, nudity, language, etc.

If my house burn down, I could rebuild my computer in less than a week also. You just don’t understand how a hobby works, especially one that somebody is passionate about.
And this show has enough violence, not every punch and kick has to have blood and bone and organs coming out of the person receiving the blows.
I never usually comment on TV shows, only films. But this show is very good and fills the time nicely on Monday nights.
Many people who don’t like a show usually don’t understand it, so I’m sure that all of you haters are just dumb kunts who need to get a life.

part 4 is only 40 some MB and it’s faster for someone who has a file thats NOT corrupt to UL than for me to DL the Rapidshare file that may be corrupt, just like the one I got from megaupload since they were both UL by the person in #6 who probably got it from the same rapidshare files that were posted before his post.

I’m saying the *character* John Conner, in this incarnation of Terminator, isn’t likable or convincing. Is the character miscast? I don’t know, but I suspect it’s the script and the directing that’s at fault.

I’m gonna give a conclusion to my last post @15.
If you enjoy the show, like myself. You just have to except that there are many people out there who get a kick out of saying something is crap. Even if it was half decent, they still would refer to it as crap.
Obviously, some may really believe the show is crap… which is why i ask, why do you bother leaving a comment in the first place. Wouldn’t it make more sense that people who are here to download the links, to make a comment?
This is episode 5 now, and i believe that 90% of people who have claimed the show to be crap, have downloaded this episode…
Most people who enjoy the show, usually have a similar opinion to those who dislike it. Except those who like it, except it for it’s faults, and watch for entertainment purposes. These people have lives…

the part 4 it’s fine, sometimes when youre downloading something, one part or more appear to be broken, in fact, they are broken, but it’s not the uploaded file, it’s the downloaded file.
Just download part 4 again and you’ll not have any problems extracting.

I just watched ep5 and it was way better than the first four. I still say the main characters’ development sucks except for the cyber-babe. The problem is that there’s no chemistry between the three main characters. Hopefully, that’ll get resolved in the next episode or two. Bringing “Celebrity Hostage” Brian Austin Green in was a good move.
This RLS should be NUKED, it goes in and out of sync.
Have to disagree with some of the above comments, this show is awesome.
Not only are the characters of John and Sarah Connor getting fleshed out, but the entire storyline is coming together nicely as far as Terminators and resistance fighters from the future being sent back in time. Next week, we’ll see more of the future wars and more about how Cyberdyne Systems get involved.
Great stuff for all those who loved the movies.

Must agree with you, John is definitely becoming a winner and a hero, although I am to believe his mother is still teaching and helping him. Once she has completed his lessons, he will be a champ. Also agree to you that he has looks that are very affectionate looking.

What I like about the show, apart from Prison Break it is the best US show on Monday night.
What I do not like about the show, to many story consistancy errors/problems and a terminator that acts normally like any other girl in school in episode 1 (John not even notices it) and starts acting robot/android like in the other episodes. Did she forget how to blend in during the timetravel…..?

About the show; I like it, although I do agree that it could be better. Why doesn’t Sarah just take their sexbot to the nearest FBI office and ask “How crazy am I now?” Why did they apparently dispose of the evil terminator’s body, rather than leave it for the authorities to find? You can’t argue that they wanted to prevent future technology from falling into the wrong hands, because without the CPU, it’s just an articulated metal skeleton encased in human flesh.
