Techsmith’s SnagIt is popular tool for taking screenshots on your Win OS. It’s more powerful than usual “Print Screen” command build in Win. You can have better control over the screenshots you take. ZWT came with newest 9.0.0 version which have redesigned user interface with a lot of new features.

    PrtScn is good enough. Stick with what doesn’t take more storage.

    I did use version 8 it’s good, useful for recording screencasts with audio, comes with good and simple editing tool to help you annotate the screenshots you took.

    I have been using its previous version, agree with #2 (searles) prtscn is good but there are some times when you need this eg when you want to record only a window, a webpage, an aplication etc etc etc

    Even if you don’t want to use the scrnshot functions, the video capture is great for tutes to put on the web like YouTube or what-have-you.

    Ok, maybe it doesn’t have video recording, I’m not sure. Their website doesn’t say it can…

    Would this keygen work for thier other software? Like “Camtasia Studio [Screen Recording and Presentation]“? Wouldn’t it use the same software protection? I want that video capturing software but don’t want mess up my registry with apps that I’ve only installed as a test…Time to set up a VM I think…

    This app should be covered by RLSLOG, instead of a tool that does the same things as PrtScn. Windows doesn’t come with a built in video capture app, and this one looks very impressive.

    I’ve been using Gadwin Printscreen for a while, is a fine (and free!) program :)

    Saves automatically to folder, you can adjust the quality, etc etc..

    #3 I tried greenprint, it wont even start in my comp :(

    I’ve used Version 8.

    This program is usefull for recording streaming videos as well. However I found that the audio was being captured via my mic which of course lead to inferior sound. Perhaps it’s just the settings I had.

    used to for recording TV shows seen online.

    One little thing. EVERY TIME you capture something it immediately logs into their website [I just watched it through my very aggressive Firewall that keeps an eye out for me], if you block it’s constant outbound connection it won’t work properly. Nice, they must have started working for MSoft years ago, same gameplan. So the bottom line is, if you don’t mind these gentlemen having access to everything that you capture, go for it. Otherwise you might want to rethink this. Personally, I used version 7 for years, it didn’t have the wonderful new feature. Cheers!
