Tantric - The End Begins [2008]
Hi everybody. So I’m bach with a very anticipated Rock rls. This CD has it’s release only in April 22 of this year so, guys here you have it already. It’s been more than a few years since we’ve heard anything promising from Tantric.
But they’ve returned with a new line-up, record label and album called The End Begins. The End Begins starts with a stuttering bass line and tons of high hats on “Regret.” “Regret” sounds almost gothic with its deep baritone vocal and hues of violin but follows through nicely into the post-grunge, modern alternative realm with its soft tones and laid-back rock vibe.
Tantric returns to that same smoky blues thing on the title track. It almost sounds like Southern rock as well with its heavy chords, fiddle picking on the violin and slamming fretting patterns. It’s not too melancholic, nor is it too angry. “The One” finishes off this disc with that classic Tantric sound as it’s soulful; yet aggressively so much full of rock and roll. They’ve returned to the forefront of alternative rock with The End Begins and hopefully this isn’t what this title suggests.

Anyone remember Days of the New? Touch Peel Stand? I think this band is formerly know as Days of the New! Dont know about this new lineup though….pretty sure some are the band members are from Days of the New.
I think Kichy should have mentioned this in his post.
they were basically days of the new with a different singer but last year every former days of the new member left the band
so their is no connection to days of the new no except both singers love the meth
I love release log, but the music releases that are posted are always terrible. Just quit posting music releases all together. No one comes here for music releases anyways, they go to what/waffles/ect

I just checked wiki…and your rignt none of the original band members are still with tantric. This band reminds me of Queens of the Stone age. They change band members like they change underwear LoL.
Days of the new is actually still recording music….travis meeks is the only original member left though.
