Talking Doll: “You’re a Slut!”
A trully original talking doll was reported by ABC News. A Little Mermaid Ariel is well-known among children, so why not to get one for them. But you should be careful when you’re choosing the right one. It’s supposed to say sweet things to little girls like, “You’re a wonderful friend,” but push its button the wrong way and the Little Mermaid Shimmering Lights Ariel doll may say something else — “You’re a slut,” according to a California mother whose allegation came to light in a newspaper report.
The doll’s manufacturer, Mattel, doesn’t believe it’s possible, and a company spokeswoman said the complaint by Stephanie Herrera of San Jose, Calif. — first reported in the San Jose Mercury News — is the only one it’s heard of. “I was in absolute shock,” said Herrera, “especially after my daughter repeated it.” Mattel has asked Herrera to return the doll, and the company has offered her a voucher for a toy of equal value. “We don’t believe that any of the product out on the market is affected,” said Mattel spokeswoman Sara Rosales. Well it looks there’s a new method of learning unknown words. This mommy had to be little surprised when her daughter asked her “Hey Mom, Are you also a Slut?”

I bet this is just bullshit. The mom tried to return the toy but this wasn’t possible so she went to the newspapers to try and force the company that produce tese dolls to refund her.

sounds like bs, but if it’s true, gec is right, that thing would be worth tons on eBay, especially if it got publicity via news.
Stupid americans, the kid probably hurt her slutmom saying that word and she started saying it as well, people just keep blaming everything these days.
yeah obviously its bullshit – the mother has been smoking something or poppin’ some pills and misheard a harmless phrase – if I was gonna go to the media with this story – i would have at least made sure the doll still swore and there was some evidence to back up the story. Dustin Hoffman in a film once said – Its not what you know; its what you can prove – and in terms of poker – the mother has just called everyone on the table with a Jack High.
