Talib Kweli – Focus (2007)

You probably need to be a real hip-hop fan to know the name Talib Kweli but many sources confirm this is an exceptional singer. Focus is a name of his brand new album which isn’t available in stores but is widely spreading over the p2p networks. The album contains rare and featured songs which were pretty much unknown until now. If you like this kind of music, you shouldn’t miss it.

Talib Kweli (born Talib Kweli Greene in Brooklyn, New York City on October 3, 1975) is an American MC from Brooklyn, New York. He is one of the best-known and critically, if not commercially, successful rappers in alternative hip hop. His first name in Arabic means “student” or “seeker”; his middle name in Swahili means “true”. Kweli first gained recognition through Black Star, a collaboration with fellow MC Mos Def. Kweli has two children: an older son, Amani Fela, who attends Medgar Evers Preparatory School and a younger daughter, Diani Eshe. Kweli has supported the “Black August Benefit Concert” since its inception, and performs at the show consistently every year.

Why do you hate blacks so much. Your an idiot, theres no need to try and explain anything to people like that, You say how stupid we are but you insist on cracking jokes and typing racial comments and acting like kids. This is school yard stuff. I acted like this when I was in elementary.
    Grow up.

It’s funny, I come to release log everyday to check for new releases and as soon as I see and release involving African Americans I automatically know that there will be racial comments based solely on the artists ethnicity. So sad really It’s like you guys are magnets drawn to black people it’s an obsession really, pay attention to the next release of someone Black, I can bet you will not be able to refrain from typing some crap on here for everyone to read, your fingers will be itching to type. Your obsessed.

fyi this isn’t really a new “retail” album. Yes it is available for limited sale but not in major stores. I think it’s a collection of tracks from the Beautfiul Mixtapes. Some good songs though for sure.

ps. for all the black people… stop replyin to these idoiots it just encourages them. I think we ALL know that racist people are stupid pussies. You should only be so lucky to meet them in real life so you could give them a real reason to hate people that look different.

  15. December 17th, 2007 | 22:00

all useless comments deleted. all those people posting under 10 different nicks make me sick – everyone doing anything like that will be automatically banned.

It’s a shame they don’t put some real music up here. Why don’t they just start a hip-hop section & call it anything except music! They could call it the bad poetry to horrible soundtrack section. Talk about Racism, this crap teaches HATE which is what Racism is based in.

Crazyhorse, you make yourself sound ignorant and uneducated with such statements. First, you obviously don’t know Kweli’s music, so you already disqualify yourself from making any type of judgments towards him.

You seem to be generalizing all hip-hop based on your simplified understanding, which you probably gleaned from the mainstream media. I guess if you wish to live your life in that box, so be it.

Your thoughts on being “proud” to be American also show your narrow scope of perspective, get over yourself.

    December 24th, 2007 | 14:20

Crazyhorse, what exactly is your point?
It seems so typical of people with racist views who post vague nationilistic statements hinting at the purity of your nationality. Wtf.

The only people who could ever have claim to that are the indians who ARE indigenous. Your nation was built on an influx of immigrants, you yourself (its highly unlikely that you are Indian with your comments) are descended from immmigrants. Your views and comments show you to be the ignorant idiot that you are.

I personally cant take people like you seriously, because of the idiocy of your beliefs. But unfortunately for you many Americans of African descent react violently to your racist beliefs, and while I dont condone it Im pretty sure that sooner or later your mouth will land you in some crazy stuff that you cant handle. Unless of course you only have the balls to state your views behind the anonymity of a username. lol. Yeah, im pretty sure thats the case. But, youll slip up, one day ;)

its not about race its about talent, and thought…the rappers/hip hop guys on the AWESOME show “the Boondocks” have more thought out lyrics and messages than most real ones, “booty butt cheeks”! how about posting a link to the torrent of that kick ass show martin? but no, lets persist in broadcasting the stereotypes?

that show rocks, puts it all in perspective, you are worshiping ignorance!
