Kaspersky and Nod32 have awesome detection rates, and not just for in the wild malware.

Symantec takes advantage of people who have bought PCs from tacky shops (pcworld etc). REAL ‘home’ users. They buy dual core pcs and every symantec product on it and it runs like a spectrum, and people have no idea what it is supposed to run like. SAD

People have always had this ‘MY AV is better than yours’ argument, its funny how brand loyalty has swung so far away from symantec, bring back the old norton utils

it sounds like no one likes your product, i’m hoping that i can figure out how to install it still, my old norton runs out in a few days, & I’m hoping that my new one will kick in automatically, because i ordered this, didn’t get a disc, & i have no idea how to download this product that i’ve ordered for 69.98 wow what a price to pay for something i can’t figure out how to put on my computer

Just installed – or tried to – Norton AV 2008. What a disaster! Even after removing ZoneAlarm the program refused to run on my well-maintained XP system. Ended up with a blue screen of death and no internet connectivity at all!
Still digging out…..

I use Symantec Corporate client 10.2.x.. nothing compares..
Nod32 and Krap are just that .. crap!

pft, most of you dont know what your talking about and just buy into the hype of a few.. Norton works fine. Learn to form your own opinions

As many said Norton is really lowsy. I would class it as a Virus. Takes control over your PC and slows everything. Isnt that a virus then i dont know what is.

Get nod32! It is small and easy. A little special UI but nothing to worry about as it never bother you and works excellent without any problem really happy i found this nice AV.

Symantec has been known to backdoor its software, a simple google search will tell you this, switch to ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com and check out my site http://ubuntu-unleashed.blogspot.com and you wont ever need an antivirus again!

silly comments,from a bunch of kids,do you guys realise these companys create viruses,to sell their products,and Norton is the biggest virus creator of them all,i know because my friend worked for them,fact,dangerous trogans,similar viruses damage your computer,theses companys know their own creative viruses,thus getting you to buy their product,in any country,norton is rubbish,stay away from these products,by purchasing them you give them the money to create new viruses,stop and think,new update products come with new viruses,only way to sell their products,stay safe on the net,stay away from them.

I think Symantec Corporate works great. Plus you dont have to worry about funcky cracking, just install and your protected forever. Hasnt let me down yet.
