S.W.A.T 2003 720p BluRay x264-hV

Wow, cool movie here guys. I really enjoyed watching this one, and I think i’m not the only one. It has some pretty neet actors in it (Samuel L. Jackson), and the storyline is very well-written. See for yourself :)

Based off of a one time T.V. show. Two Los Angeles S.W.A.T. officers Jim Street and Brian Gamble were sent in to foil an extremely violent bank robbery. Though, they thwarted the robbery, but shot a hostage in the process. So Street was suspended from S.W.A.T. while Gamble was fired altogether. After 6 months, a veteran s.W.A.T. officer, Daniel Harrelson or “Hondo”, was told to assemble a S.W.A.T. team for his division. He chooses other S.W.A.T. officers as well as 3 rookies. However, after they passed the S.W.A.T. training, they receive a message that a French crime boss, known as Alex Montell is trying to escape from prison. However, this will not be easy. Especially, when after Montell promises to offer $100 Million to his rescuers…

whats with all these blu-ray films??

I can’t see many people willing to download 4- 6 Gb’s of old films?!?!?!

    September 18th, 2007 | 14:35

HD Quality release shame IMDB only gave it 5.9/10 I would have gone a bit higher. It wasn’t a bad movie at all.

Sure there are. I love 720p. I would download 1080p if my LCD tv could handle it. Just be happy for the ones with fast internet connections and ignore the hd movies.

    September 18th, 2007 | 14:36

Rich, I enjoy a healthy 100GB of D/L a month and 4-6gb is not that much when you consider many of us have 20mb or above connections.

That and my 1080p screen loves me for it.

Jon, I agree that this is an old movie, but it’s nice to have this old (but good) movie in your HD collection

@marco sure your TV can handle 1080p, my old 21″ CRT can…not WS tho..but still 1080p looks good on almost anything ;D

Is there any way you can fit these hd releases onto a single
DVDR to play on DVD player.

  9. A|phA
    September 18th, 2007 | 15:57

smocker: Probably but what sort of DVD Player can play these x264 format releases? You would need to convert the video format into mpeg2 for a dvd video and loose any quality you would gain from downloading the HD Quality video.

    Hello there,
    Can anybody tell me:
    - what format this is…? mkv? avi(DivX)/ Mpg?
    - if it can be played on my DivXSet player?

    Thanks!

Just curious, I have never downloaded a BluRay movie, but I wanted to know how great does the quality look with a 4GB movie? Don’t BluRay movies exceed like 20-26GB a movie? I’m just suprised that a movie could look HD with a 4GB file size, because I thought a regular DVD quality movie was like 4-6GB.

    What do you guys think?
Also, can you play these with Windows Media Player?

  12. smocker
    September 18th, 2007 | 16:02

But im saying when you make a dvd doesnt it convert it to .vob format? But im thinking it wouldnt fit a regular 4.7gb dvdr

xbox 360 can only play wmv files, you need to grab WMV-HD encodes.

    Matej,

normally it can only play wmvs, but using a program on my pc (TVersity) I can stream any type of video file, the tversity program converts it to wmv on the fly and streams it to the 360 using mediaserver.exe

thats what i use to watch all my rips on my tv, just never tried it with a HD source.

i guess the best way to find out is to give it a go, not sure if the bandwith will be enough though.

Actually, their is a very easy way of playing Blu-Ray and HD-DVD rips. It works better if you have a mac, but if not, no worry. Go get yourself an Apple TV, convert the file into mp4, I use VisualHub, and done, it synchs to the Apple TV hard drive and you have full HD quality.

Really, best method, everything I download I just send straight to my Apple TV, and go watch it, no more burning DVD’s or anything. Works with a Windows platform also, and, you don’t need to go carry your computer to the TV (unless your monitor IS your tv.

Anyways, it is just a neat toy that is fully hackable, but base concept, I believe you can do the same with an Xbox 360, and other media devices. So regardless of the brand, thats the way to go if your a constant downloader with a HD set. I just chose Apple since I use Macs to do al of my downloading and encoding and the TV edition is tiny, neat looking and pure HD. Just an idea for others.

    September 18th, 2007 | 17:55

This will work on a normal TV if you have the player to play it but you wont enjoy the full quality.

And Mr Opinion with tversity stream you can play other formats through your PC to your XBOX 360 but i doubt it will come out as HD as your PC is probably not HD Ready and whatever quality your PC plays it at the XBOX 360 will play it at, plus its a big file to stream wirelessly.

But if you want excellent quality and good performance i.e. streaming HD content, go for TwonkyMedia, its simply the best all over media server available today.

  27. asd
    September 18th, 2007 | 18:27

@Doom: tversity will work, as long as your tv is HDready and connected to the xbox at HD res.

You’ll need a fast (core2duo) processor and a fast (100mbit+) lan for it to work without it dropping out.

The quality loss because of the x264 to wmv is pretty minimal.

@ 23 & 24: n00bs. Just run a video cable from your PC to TV, done. If you have an HD set, you will be watching it in HD. If you have a standard def, you will still be able to watch it, just not in true HD format.

    @29
Been downloading before we have 56k modems and I have dealt with enough random monitor cables and converters hanging off my tv’s for years, oh and enough with the 0’s, your way to l33t for that. I use to run cables all over the place, my new Mac Pro is two floors above my TV. So while I could run realllly long DVI and audio cables through the wall, or carry the case downstairs and buy a long cable to reach the plasma, it becomes quite a pain in the you know what. Hence, why they now make media extenders. I could copy it to my laptop, and move that around, yet with an easy to use media extender, my Wife can go get what she wants and watch it on the big screen also while I am at work. Plus, it is just nice, wirelessly send it straight to your TV, no messing around and my computer stays in my office rather than random rooms.

So you come home, pick up a remote, and you have all the movies ready for you, at your TV without moving crap around.

    @Rob
if 4GB DVD can be shrink to 700MB with good quality.
so why not shrink 20GB to 4GB?
also with better codec – x264.

shame there isn’t any DVD Player who can play x264 codec
but I’m sure there will be soon.

meanwhile there’s the option of play it on a PC with a TV out
just don’t forget to change resolution on the TV to fit to the manufacture TV res’.
and if you see only black screen, check refresh rate isn’t higher than 60hz.

HD realy change the way you see movies
no longer focus only on the actors,
you also check the environment, object in the room.
when the movie show a driven car, i love to check the street, see the stores and buildings.
    realy amazing.

    September 18th, 2007 | 19:35

What is it with these resolutions?? Surely if its 720P it should BE 720P, not 528. Its not exactly a 16:9/16:10 ratio is it and just means you have even larger black bars top and bottom than you normally would, even with a WS TV/monitor.

What makes you rlslog guys think that this blu-ray rip will ever hit the public trackers?
I suggest you first wait till its on some public tracker and then make an a post about it.
Blu-Ray’s and HD-DVD’s don’t always get released to open trackers, like most DVDRip’s do.

Same comment applies also to Becoming.Jane.2007.720p.BluRay.x264-SiNNERS and Zodiac.2007.720p.HDTV.x264-ESiR post :)

actually yes, I am running vista. It is a great OS as long as your system is up to date, the only people I hear complaining about it are n00bs who are installing it on a 1.5ghz pentium4 with 512mb ram. of course its gonna suck on your shit ass setup. And go ahead, continue using torrents while I DL this 4gig file in 20 minutes, ooh yeah usenet really sucks!! Have fun waiting for seeders on this file dipshit, ill already be done watching the movie while you are still at 10%. Maybe you should put down the bong I think it’s hindering your sorry attempt at being funny.

    Matej:

Those pics are packed as png for a smaller size so the packing just might not preserve the quality. If someone would post “non-repacked” images confirmation on the quality could be made with good accuracy.

P.S. Why XXXx528 resolution??? why not real 720p?

Ahhhhh so much sh1t written.. Tell me somebody with a brain replied to the question: will a HD-DVD rip play on my DIVX Player.. and will this stream to my XBOX 360?

God I read some stupid replies to those question.

    1. No your DIVX Player will not play back this video. Read my posts in near the start of this thread.

    2. Yeah your XBOX 360 can output 1080p videos and no it has no problem with it at all. DO NOT BOTHER converting your video into WMV, god no… thats stupid as hell just download transcode 360 for gods sake.
