I just woke and saw that the season premiere for Survivorman had been released about an hour ago. Ive never seen the show myself but i have seen all of the Man vs Wild episodes and loved them and everyone has recommended Survivorman to me saying that it is so much better.
Sierra Nevada
Les tries to survive in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. This time he has more than just his trusty harmonica and his multi tool, He also has some basic backpacking gear as well like a tent, a sleeping bag, and a flashlight. When he doesn’t show up at camp his team is forced to organise a Search and Rescue team to find him. Will they find him in time?

you guys actually believe this? When they give him a streaming camera that we can watch for a full week ill believe it. Which will never happen. Obviously this is fake. Do you not remember when the last show like this was exposed?
real or not all its meant to do is show people a few things to survive a situation. take it for what it is not what you think it should be. otherwise stream your own survival show for us to watch.

Nice to see this great show listed here finally. Les is a cool dude, i went to highschool with him (Mimico High School in Toronto, Canada from 1976-1980) so it’s awesome to see him on tv now doing his thing

This guy is boring as hell and sometimes it`s depressing watching him fail to do things he`s supposed to do, like finding food or water. Bear Grylls is much better and the show is more dynamic, I can`t wait for the new Man vs. Wild episodes.

Bear Grylls is a dumb fool who would have died 20 times over were it not for his camera crew/translators that go EVERYWHERE with him.
Les is the real deal, sets up all the cameras himself, and has been cited as the reason many people have survived when lost/trapped in the wild. You ignorant Americans have your heads so far up your own arses that you can’t watch anything that doesn’t go to THE EXTREME 24/7!?!??!?!

Yeah, setting up cameras takes Les 70% of his time - It`s just like in the wild.
Bears show is much more educational, and I would bet he`d last much longer in the wild than Les.
This dude sucks…he can’t even catch his own food.
He usually just kills a frog or eats a bush. And he barely makes it the 7 days…runs out of food, water, etc.

On post releases of Man vs Wild the comments are about “man vs wild sucks and survivorman rules”… and now here “survivorman sucks and man vs wild rules”……… I don’t understand… I like both shows

@38 Actually I like that or else I wouldn’t watch it but I’d never move with my kids to that place. I don’t know if his son is like that but he looked very sad in off the grid.
The quality isnt HD by any means. Its even slightly overcropped, but I love the show and its still good enough to watch.

Why is it that if you like Bear Gizz and don’t like Survivorman that you’re an American? I’m an American, and I think that ‘Man vs. Wild’ is somewhat interesting only because of the subject matter, but I think that Bear is ridiculous and the show is just catering to the same idiots that like movies just because they have sensational explosions and neato special effects. Survivorman is a far better show in a lot of different ways, number one being the fact that it’s real/genuine. It’s much more valuable if you’re actually watching it for real survival situations. I don’t know much about these guys in their personal lives, but I can say that Survivorman is a far better show if you’re wanting to watch reality, not hollywood action in a wilderness environment.
