Surfs Up FS DVDSCR XviD-ASTEROiDS
After quite a while of not seeing anything from ASTEROIDS (last thing I can remember is their TC/R5 of Borat) they return with a FullScreen DVDSCR of CG film Surfs Up. Quality of this release is good considering it’s a DVDSCR. Audio is fine as well. Nothing more to say other than download and enjoy

Movie is a bit odd. Gives the feel more a docu about animated surfing penguins than a movie made for entertainment.

nice piece of cgi/animation is the only positive thing i can say about it.
any laughs you get from this movie will literally be like the laugh in this text.

Actually this is a very enjoyable flick. If you hold even the smallest like for surfing check it out. It’s done documentary style to reflect the style of the surfing documentaries so many of us have grown to love (Endless Summer, Step into Liquid, Riding Giants) If you understand english the voicework is some of the best for an animated flick.
BUT i put this to the RLSLOG team. Why post this release? FullScreen editions do nothing but detract from the quality of a film. Sure many still have fullscreen screens but what are a few bits of black on the top and bottom to losing much of what is happening on screen. especially with this movie and its great surfing sequences.
What site do you guys go on that shows when R5’s are going to released? Thanks.

Ummmmmmm R5 was out like 6 weeks ago?
I have seen this movie about 3 times with various different people (girls seem to like this one), all have reached the consensus that it is a decent flick but nothing special.
The movie is not annoying or anything, and Shia LeBeuff is a good actor even when it is voice acting but the story is rather predictable. If you have seen any American animated movie you already know that the antagonists start out owning but then get owned by the protagonists at the end, boy gets the girl, everything works out in the end, everyone goes home happy; and the “plot twists” are more like “plot gentle curves”.
Overall a decent flick i give it a 6.0….. Shia LeBeuff saved it from a 5.5. It is a nice movie to watch for a 1st date or with your kids or family or whatever; however i dont think anyone will have any epiphanies or life changing introspective moments while watching this……..but i could be wrong
