Surfs Up CAM VCD-CAMERA

Another long-awaited animated title is here: Surf’s Up looks like a really sweet comedy combining Madagascar, Happy Feet and some other funny movies. Introduced last friday in American cinemas, this family movie will make you laugh for sure. The quality of this VCD cam is very good – VCD releases are usually the worst thing you can watch, but this one actually offers nice colours, relatively sharp image and standard cam audio. XviD version should appear very soon.

Surf’s Up is an animated action-comedy that delves behind the scenes of the high-octane world of competitive surfing. The film profiles teenage Rockhopper penguin Cody Maverick (Shia LaBeouf), an up-and-coming surfer, as he enters his first pro competition. Followed by a camera crew to document his experiences, Cody leaves his family and home in Shiverpool, Antarctica to travel to Pen Gu Island for the Big Z Memorial Surf Off.

Along the way, Cody meets Sheboygan surfer Chicken Joe (Jon Heder), famous surf promoter Reggie Belafonte (James Woods), surf talent scout Mikey Abromowitz (Mario Cantone), and spirited lifeguard Lani Aliikai (Zooey Deschanel), all of whom recognize Cody’s passion for surfing, even if it’s a bit misguided at times. Cody believes that winning will bring him the admiration and respect he desires, but when he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with a washed-up old surfer (Jeff Bridges), Cody begins to find his own way, and discovers that a true winner isn’t always the one who comes in first.

wat wud b the difference between this and xvid version

  2. June 11th, 2007 | 18:30

xvid version is usually smaller than VCD one and it is way more comfortable to watch it, as you usually need to burn VCD release on CD and then watch it on a DVD player. but all of these differences have also a workaround…

Im actually getting this via the Usenet, massive speeds, little effort/hassle. :D Just saw the sample. It actually has nice vid quality, unlike for example the first releases of Shrek 3. The audio sounds a little shallow, missing depth and nuance, though still, Im surprised by the overall quality. 8)

Well i dont usually help people who type in mobile text speech when theyre using a keyboard, but what the hell.

Most the time you have to either burn it onto 2 seperate cd’s or 1 dvd (i use nero vision) or you could try making the cd’s smaller by finding a program that shrinks them.. i think one was called ISO Shrink but im not sure.

Martin posted a different version above which is only one cd, if you dont have cd/dvd rw’s then your best off waiting for xvid versions etc.

Can’t be worse than the sound that a bloke was getting out of his laptop on last night’s flight. It sounded like two midgets in tin amour wrestling. µ
