And another HD release is here. I think everyone has already seen this one, but here it is in high quality by group SEPTiC. The release is only 2,3 GB… why not making it 4 Gb?

Plot: Surf’s Up is an animated action-comedy that delves behind the scenes of the high-octane world of competitive surfing. The film profiles teenage Rockhopper penguin Cody Maverick (Shia LaBeouf), an up-and-coming surfer, as he enters his first pro competition. Followed by a camera crew to document his experiences, Cody leaves his family and home in Shiverpool, Antarctica to travel to Pen Gu Island for the Big Z Memorial Surf Off.

Along the way, Cody meets Sheboygan surfer Chicken Joe (Jon Heder), famous surf promoter Reggie Belafonte (James Woods), surf talent scout Mikey Abromowitz (Mario Cantone), and spirited lifeguard Lani Aliikai (Zooey Deschanel), all of whom recognize Cody’s passion for surfing, even if it’s a bit misguided at times. Cody believes that winning will bring him the admiration and respect he desires, but when he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with a washed-up old surfer (Jeff Bridges), Cody begins to find his own way, and discovers that a true winner isn’t always the one who comes in first.

    The Wild was also released in 2 something GB (and looked good). I think more would be overkill for most animation movies.

    I think I’ll give this one a go. I’ve seen it already, but it’s a small download and it’s got 2 of my favorite actors (and Shia isn’t bad either). Plus I like the mockumentary style.

    You’re probably right (I’m not talking about my genetalia there off course). I did notice pixelation in parts with a lot of movement.

    I probably should have phrased my sentence a bit different. I meant it as a guess, not something I had personally tested. Though I do think (I could be wrong) most animation movies need less bits than their conventional counterparts, 2 GB seems to be stretching it.

    And indeed I have a relatively small 19inch monitor (don’t own a tv). So if you say there’s a big difference between a small or large screen, I can’t possibly argue with that.

    This must be the worst movie ever made. I’m ashamed I did manage to watch it ’till the end….(due to social pressure)

    for sum reason it wont play on my comp… Ive got the k-lite codec pack installed on vista ultimate, great rig, but the file comes up (on zoomplayer pro) as an 8 hour movie with no picture, but sound comes through alright… can anyone help please?
