I also agree that hiphop/rnb is ruining the music industry

but, I really want a torrent of al yesterday’s ads (now that demonoid is dead it’s really hard to find those non scene releases), i could not care less about the game itself as football is probably the most boring sport(after curling)

Ahhhh…. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, another great group that got even greater because of MTV:
“You Got Lucky”, “She’s A Woman In Love”, “Damn the Torpedoes”, “Don’t Do Me Like That”, “Refugee”, “Runnin’ Down a Dream”, “The Waiting”, “Don’t Come Around Here No More”, “I Won’t Back Down”, “Free Fallin’”, “Mary Jane’s Last Dance”.

“Don’t Come Around Here No More” is still one of the best Music Video I ever seen on the original MTV!!

wow. so mr x is wrong for not showing tom petty a little respect, but its ok for you to rip on hip hop because you dont like it? like all genres, hip hop has its good and its bad. some artists are merely bandwagoners, and do indeed just rip off other peoples lyrics and flagrantly use samples in a fairly boring way. id say kanye west is one such ‘artist’ but a lot of people would disagree with me, and fair enough.

but the point is, you cant condemn a whole genre, just because you dont like it…

and personally, im 24, i like a diverse and eclectic range of music, i am a musician and producer (guitar keys vocals drums and clarinet), i make or record music of all kinds of genres (rock of all shapes and sizes, hip hop, dance, etc), and i actually agree with mr x – i think tom petty makes lame, middle of the road stadium rock (ideal for the superbowl really)…

mr x was wrong to generalise his tastes to ‘our generation’, but ffs people, what is it with all this righteous indignation? someone says some off the cuff remark you dont like and suddenly everyone’s shouting them down! grow up! opinions are just opinions, and if you dont agree with someone, thats not a reason to go to war with them!

cheers mr x, for posting something which i would not otherwise have glanced at – and for providing some useful info on when to expect the game to appear.

oh, and @67 (suicidesaints) – dont go putting words into other peoples mouths. i like the beatles and led zep, maybe mr x doesnt, but what does that matter? stfu.

@5 you said it best — mr x is a moron, tom petty is quite possibly the most talented artist to play the superbowl half time show — i listen to mostly metal, but i listen to all type of music and im 24 years old (part of our generation)

but i bet Mr X. would also say that nobody in our generation listens to the beatles

has links to all kinds of sports around the world as well as links to the programs needed to view them. they will have the superbowl live if your cable doesn’t happen to offer it. i also have used it for out of market american football games.

i’m used to the bashing that goes on about the US, and a lot of it comes from our politicians with their heads up their a$$es.

i don’t generalize and put other countries down with the “we’re better” attitude. i’ve come to know people around the world, and enjoy learning about things that aren’t US-centric. I enjoy both kinds of football, and can’t wait for the next champions league games at the end of february (they do take long enough between these two rounds)

im only 17 and tom petty along with bob dylan, hank williams, and many other are my favorite singers!! the completely rock. especially over then stupid pop/rap singers!!!
