This record is fantastic,a masterpiece of indie rock bording on emo (the original "old" one, not the make up-girlie trousers-whining music).
Also all members later (except for the singer Jeremy Enigk) went on to form Foo fighters with Dave Grohl.
i met the lead singer of that band when i was in seattle

@ 13, technically it's not the same dudes. Dave Grohl recorded the whole 1st Foo Fighters album himself and then he hired William Goldsmith (drummer) and Nate Mendel (bassist) to join the band for live shows. William Goldsmith quit the band before they finished the 2nd Foo record, he's only on 2 songs. Nate Mendel is the only member of Sunny Day Real Estate that is still in the Foo Fighters.
