Brandi (Mena Suvari) is a compassionate young retirement-home caregiver in line for a promotion. Tom (Stephen Rea) is a victim of the downsized economy, out-of-work and newly homeless. Their worlds crash together when Brandi, driving home from a club after too many drinks and pills, accidentally hits Tom, the impact smashing his body head-first through her car’s windshield. With Tom lodged in broken glass, the panicked Brandi drives home and locks the car in her garage. She pleads with Tom, conscious and in severe shock, to stay calm, promising to take him to a hospital. That is, until she realizes her fate is tied to that of her victim: if discovered, this “accident” will extinguish her bright future. Blocking the image of the bloody, broken Tom from her mind, Brandi waits for him to die so she and her drug-dealer boyfriend can dispose of the body. Realizing her plan, Tom knows he must escape if he wants to survive.

Watched the dvdscrn version, this is really a bad movie. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone over 20.

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes on this site there are missing articles between page 1 and 2? Like I’ve seen entries that work their way down page 1 as new stuff is posted, but when those entries get “pushed off” page 1 by new stuff, they don’t appear on page 2 – page 2 only contains older stuff.
Anyway, just thought I’d mention it in case it’s not just me but a real problem with the site.

only watch this movie if u are completely wasted with your friends. its only funny cuz of how stupid this movie is. I usually don’t comment on movies that are bad but this takes the cake. I have no idea how this has a 7.4 rating.
To anyone who think this movie isn’t believable, it actually happened, except they changed the ending quite a bit (don’t what to give any spoilers, suffice it to say it turned out basically the opposite way in real life). However, the really crazy parts – how she treated the guy – was accurate.

I actually liked this movie alot, and gave it to a few friends to watch and they all liked it also. It was very twisted and sick, and dark. So don’t listen to anybodies opinion here, find out for yourself.

Don’t you brain-dead kids ever watch the news? CSI ep or not (I never watch network TV), like others have said.. it DID happen.. a couple years back. It was all over the news for a day or two (”15 secs of fame”). I grabbed the XviD release months ago (Haven’t watched it yet.. have a real life) so I don’t know anything about the movie.. but as I recall in reality the woman was black, and the guy was dead. Obviously.. they were going to charge her with murder.. never heard how it turned out. Bizarre.. only in America.
BTW.. Mena Suvari.. even though a few years older than her “American Beauty” days.. still looks like a lemur to me.
I don’t know why they casted her as the girl Kevin Spacey most wanted to knock boots with. She creeps me out.
