Strata Presents The End Of The World (2007)

New album “Strata Presents The End Of The World” from band “Strata” released on the on the 17th of july. The album was ripped two days ago and still theres no public torrent for it hopefully it will be public in a couple of day and when that time comes i’ll post the torrent link.

Strata, formerly known as Downside, is a four-piece from Campbell, California.

Strata released two independent EPs before their major-label debut. In 2001, under the name Downside, they released the nine-track EP “Sleep,” and in 2003 the seven-track EP “Now the Industry is Outnumbered, Their Factories are Burning Down,” under the Strata moniker.

In 2004 they released their self-entitled album on Wind-Up Records, home of Finger Eleven. The album was featured on the Billboard “Top Heatseekers” chart, where it peaked at number forty-one.

Their first single, “Piece By Piece” was featured on the soundtrack for the movie The Punisher[1], and the video game Madden NFL 2005. Another song “Never There (She Stabs)” was featured on the soundtrack of the movie Elektra. Music videos were made for their two singles “The Panic” and “Never There (She Stabs)”.

The band is finished with their second album titled, “Strata Presents The End of the World,” hits stores July 17, 2007. The first single, “Cocaine (We’re All Going to Hell)”, and “Hot/Cold (Darling, Don’t)” off of their new album are currently available on Strata’s MySpace page, as well as PureVolume.com, and Strata’s home page, StrataDirect.com.

As of 30 January 2007; Strata’s first single, “Cocaine (We’re All Going to Hell)”, has been made available through such digital retailers as iTunes, Yahoo! Music and Napster. They are supporting Finger Eleven on their 2007 Canadian tour.

    yeah! Strata is awesome-o!
    and this album is great, altho different from their first one.
    Coma Therapy is the best song i think.

    This one actually is quite good. Very similar to a Finnish band called “Disco ensemble” Which is one of my favorites.

    Ok, maybe I don’t get it but all the people bitch about the new Linkin Park CD because it wasn’t hard enough and were claiming this to be a better alternative. This is just as melodic and not hard either. I mean it’s not bad, I’m actually happy I checked it out cause I like it, but the outrage about LP was stupid if you’re gonna claim this to be superior.

    LP’s new album was fantastic, althought they are heading the same footsteps as Fort Minor (yes I know that that band was by Mike!).

    As for Strata! You better being bringing that album to the bonnie banks of scotland!! lol
