Damn, another super crappy movie. Stomp The Yard ranks among the worst movies at IMDB and it is now available in a fresh dvd screener from group NEPTUNE. It’s also quite interesting there were no telesync or telecine for this attempt of comedy, musical or whatever it pretends to be – may be just because it’s so bad. Anyway, this new dvdscr comes in the great quality on 2 CDs and it will become popular for sure no matter film qualites.
After the death of his younger brother, a troubled 19-year-old street dancer from Los Angeles is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in the historically black, Truth University in Atlanta, Georgia. But his efforts to get an education and woo the girl he likes are sidelined when he is courted by the top two campus fraternities, both of which want and need his fierce street-style dance moves to win the highly coveted national step show competition.

Maybe cause the average ( i repeat, average!) viewing public, american or not, doesn;t spend 23 h/day reviewing movies… They just wanna gulf the damn popcorn down and be entertained by cheap crappy movies, instead of watching something meaningful! I havent watched it yet and Im sure its an after school special …but you people dont have to be so ungrateful…I dont see any of you people who are complaining providing us with screeners b4 the movie hits dvd.
first of all this was a good movie cuz it has alot of tight dance moves, if u dont like hiphop movies then why bother to even post a comment about it i think we have alot of racist people that come on here. im just tired of people always putting us black people down as if our work isnt good enough. i think these dance movies step up,save the last dance, stomp the yard, and you got served are not only movies but the art of hiphop that is finally coming out and has everyone dancing instesd of just rapping. im pretty sure this wont be the last movie like this thanks peace

These movies get low ratings because the target audience (young Blk kids) probably don’t write movie reviews. I don’t like this kind of stuff but my niece has been asking for it so I’ll cop it for her. It was popular in the theaters though.

I was so gonna just pass this one over and dismiss it as yet another typical stereotypical urban dance movie, but then I looked at the picture one last time. A DWARF!!1!1!1!!
Any movie with dwarfs is cool with me. I mean it worked for the LOTR movies and those are great. World of Warcraft has dwarves and it’s the #1 video game right now. How can this movie fail? Quite simply, it can’t.

Its good to get a new movie but I personally groan when i see this type of film.That and School films where you see the poor kids in a tough neighbourhood all being deprived until a good teavher comes along and saves them.

I don’t like gore movies but I don’t go criticizing them, do I? I watch a film coz of who directed it, who played in it, who produced it… heck, sometimes I just watch a film coz I believe the soundtrack it good. My point is, people watch films for many reasons. Hey, this movie is really good. don’t bother with the rating unless you’re some IMDB freak who thinks good movies are those with storylines too complicated to understand and so you glorify it. this movie got style and enjoyable to the end too. recommended to everyone.

I think this movie has been greatly under-apreciated,almost all of the people here should see it first before talking,I thought it was bad until I saw it,It has a great and solid story and it’s centrilized on the theme itself(steping,for those who dont know),great actors and great music,the thing is if you are not into this kind of movies,well you will hate it,and even so i think most of you will like it,I even liked it better than you got served.

I liked this movie the first time I saw it, it was called “You got served,” or the second time I saw it, when it was called “Honey.” These dance movies are fuckin garbage, they’re one step below the Fast and Furious abominations…you can thank the dickweeds in Hollywood who think these kind of movies define all young american kids.

The movie “Stamp the Yard” have a very cool dance move and the music were great. The actors were excellent. I think the movie “Stamp the Yard” some how describe the dance move of American People. There move were fast and brutal. I can’t even imagine how they practice just to get those dance move. The story were very solid about the reality of life. The value of this Movie tells us that we must always be strong in times of problem and never give up.
