Plot: When DJ (Columbus Short), a troubled youth from Los Angeles, moves to Atlanta to attend Truth University, he discovers “stepping,” the age-old style of dance traditionally done in African-American Fraternities, where teams demonstrate complex moves and create rhythmic sounds by using their bodies. DJ’s raw talent and hip-hop inspired moves quickly place him at the center of a fierce rivalry between two fraternities, the winner of which will be determined in front of a sold-out arena at the annual stepping championships. But before he can help his teammates, he must battle his own demons and learn the true meaning of brotherhood.

I’ve been going to this site for a few months now and this is my first time ever commenting. All I have to say is that yes, this release is kinda late. It HAS been available for a while now. The movie wasn’t all that great. AND, the whole hype about Chris Brown being in the movie was stupid. He doesn’t even have a lot of on screen time. So, screw you Chris Brown lovers. haha .. j/k. The thing is that there was just too much hype about Chris Brown being in the movie. That’s all.

This a movie about a gay black dude who shows off his gangsta by doing gay dance moves in front of a crowd of people who have nothing else better to do but watch dumb ass dance shows. Oh yah his bro dies in the begining (the only good part of the film); so he goes out to get revenge by being gay. He then gets a girl who has already fucked numerous black dudes in other gay ass movies previous to this one. At the end he commits suicide because hes just to gay for himself. THE END.

I liked this movie, not because it was quality material, but because of the stomp in the movie, couldnt care less about who played what in the movie, i didnt even know any of the names. But i thought the dance scenes was entertaining.
Its Amazing to me how excited kids get these days, when they shout out the word “nigger”. Its like a cry of relief from the days of having to run to the other side of the road, when they see a black man. Seriously, I understand the movie is ridiculously shit. But bringing up the word nigger whenever you see a black person in a film, is just getting tired. Did you guys get beat down by a black person.
