nick: i listen to this shit so how about you shut the fuck up. just because you don’t appreciate good music and probably care only about the latest cd by Clay Aiken and are on tmz.com obsessing about paris hilton doesn’t mean the world has to revolve and post stories that are only relavent to you. so close your mouth, take your head out of your ass and realize there is a world outside the little bubble you live in.

    Yes, definitely.

Vai (where does the “Siro” come from, btw?) started out playing for Frank Zappa and then went on to record his own solo albums,
    among them ‘Passion and Warfare’.

He has been filling in on Whitesnake’s ‘Slip of the Tounge’ and some of David Lee Roth’s early solo work.

thanx for posting about Vai! Great guitarist!

btw: one should never blame an ignorant for being an ignorant, but try to educate him. So Nick, i strongly recommand u listen to this musician, after get into highschool, that is…

  13. June 26th, 2007 | 22:23

Is this album any good? I think the only work I like from this guy is the guitar music in the movie Crossroads. I listened to his other stuff and its not very good, oh he plays great but the music sounds like crap.

Ha! Conclusion: Nick sucks dick. What an idiot.

Steve Vai is a legend. Simply a master at his art. I think i’ll have to buy this one out of pure appreciation for the guy. Saw him live once – amazing show. AMAZING!

Oh and his bit in crossroads [not britney spears film] is pure amazing.

@WingAttackGroupExIII: He is relatively hard to just get into, but if you like crossroads stuff I’d start with Joe Satriani’s “Surfing with the Alien” and then move onto Vai’s “Passion And Warfare”.

Steve Vai was in the 1986 movie the crossroads where he played the devils righthand man. The movie also stared Ralph Macchio from Karate Kid fame. Loosely based on the life of the greatest blues guitarist Robert Johnson. Check this out for the guitar genius that is Stevie Vai. This is the end guitar solo of the movie. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2532824540210704919
(by the way Stevie is the long haired guy and played both solo parts)

i think this album is a bit “experimental” and i like it.. vai is surely a legend !

and crossroads, hehe it is a nice movie and it is interesting to observe how Ralph Macchio was trying to imitate finger movements on guitar. sometimes funny though :) even Steve Vai’s fingers dont sync sometimes :)

Nick is not familiar to this kind of music. But he can’t comment like that.
Steve vai is a great musician Nick. And you better try not to listen this type of music. It’s not for people like you.

Steve’s full name is Steven Siro Vai.He called Zappa oneday and played something through phone and Zappa was amazed. He employed steve to write his music scores.Steve’s song “FRANK” is dedicated to Zappa.

In the early ages oneday he was able to play one of his favorite Jimmy Page lick and he thought I don’t mind if I die tomorrow. This lick was also used in his song “JIBOOM”

The guitar used by steve is of his own design. It is Called Ibanez Jem.

Steve vai has done some courses on meditation, probably indian kind

He cultures bee and the profit he earns from that is used to maintain a profitless musical foundation(not quite sure)
