    @20 & 23, Anybody using such icons is obviously wanting a reaction just so they can tell them off and say “They’re not swastikas”. Come on, you know they’re going to get a reaction and you’re just waiting desperately to tell them that they’re dumb and what the symbol really means. There is just no other reason to post it here.

    swastikas point in the other direction, otherwise the are the same, eventho they got completely different meanings… as far as I know they are the symbol of the sun god or something…

    Swastikas are from the Bhuddist faith they were used extensively in Jpan during the Meiji era I belive as a sign of a monk.

    Stargate has always been bad about using “filler” episodes, i especially hate it when someone is lost or somethings about to blow up etc, and they throw one of these in there =p nevertheless i love the show and appreciate every episode for what it’s worth

    The Buddhist and Hindu swastikas are anti clock wise, meaning creative forces the Hakenkreuz symbol negatively associated with Nazism is pointing in the clockwise direction symbolizing destructive forces both dating back thousands of years.
    However both symbols are neither good nor bad and serve as the dark and light drops of the yin and yang symbol in comparison.
    It is no more or less offensive by association than the catholic churches cross with the atrocity’s committed during the crusades or inquisition.
