Well, Steam being “more convenient than going to a store to buy games or even pirating them” is your opinion. Clearly, I can’t argue with that. MY opinion of Steam is that it is an inconvenience for me, and I’m not so crazy about the idea of buying protected digital files. At least when I purchase retail games, I’ll have something physical to “own.” I don’t care about those automatic updates and own-your-bought-games-forever “features.” That said, let’s just agree to disagree mmmk?

a) It’s not spyware infested.
b) You can make more than one Steam account, then associate one game with every account. Play the game, then sell account. I never tried, but it should work…

DRM just means that it’s protected, which is their right. I’ve never been affected by any spyware through steam.

Steam is the next generation of video game sales. Buying through Steam is more convenient then going to a store or even pirating it. It’s fast, easy, and updates are smooth and without effort.

If the PC community continues to pirate games, the focus will continue to be placed on console sales. Buying through Steam allows small time developers like the guys behind everyday shooter and audiosurf to get the money they deserve and allows them to invest their time in to future games.

Support that. Buy a game once in a while.

STEAM is a DRM and spyware infested piece of garbage.

Not only that but they deny you your right of first sale (meaning you can’t sell the games you buy from them).

And I’m with PA-Help. Can we now have an “Everyday Shooter” torrent? It’s been on Steam for a while now. If I recall correctly, “Audio-Surf” was on Steam for maybe only a week (?) before someone released a working non-steam torrent for it. Oh yeah, and I’d like a “Gumboy Tournament” torrent, too! It’s currently on its second week on Steam now. Thanks.
