yeah utorrent is the way to go.
Especially if you set up the web interface so you can control it from anywhere.
Yet another post where the torrent is ‘coming soon’. I know somepeople get this stuff from other sources but this is getting rediculous. seems that everytime anything good comes out the torrent is never there.

Always ask yourself this before you install any software on your computer because in one way or another by simple mathematics it makes your computer run slower.
Apparently this software proves that people will buy anything. I would really be interested to see the sales numbers for this software.
I have tried using this stuff from time to time when I get frustrated with the fact I can’t run photoshop cs3 on Ubuntu.
It’s all just poofy crap. I do however use multiplicity and a right click app they have. The latter gives you an advanced, editable, right click feature in windows.
Its nice to have apps one click away.

utorrent is still the best app out there for torrents. The person who bought utorrent is the original torrent maker and is against illegal downloads. But they are in no way monitoring your downloads or anything like that.

Windowblinds is actually a well known and successful program. The sales for this one, much like previous versions will be excellent. Many people like myself are bored with the same old windows look and love to customize they’re comp.
And yes it would be nice if rlslog would post a torrent with the release instead of use going to find it somewhere else. But you still can’t deny Rlslog is doing an awesome job.
nah would never deny that. Easily the best site of it’s type.
And the reason people would use this app? When you spend 12 hours or so everyday in front of your PC you’ll take a small performance hit to be able to change the way your systems looks.

It’s a cool app but its not a big deal actually…
If you want a cool change in your desktop without any more load to your pc speed, try the zune windows xp theme…you can download from microsoft i think. Its nice…smooth…works like a charm here.
Installed it, coz vista looks like a neon candy bar.
Uninstalled it becasue half the apps on my pc are not skinnable.
I also thought you could change the colours of Aero.. but you can’t.

Windowblinds has been around for a long time. I mean back before customize.org sucked balls. And when skinz.org was just beginning to flourish with the “Scathe” skins. If I still ran windows I would definitely try this one out, and if it was still as good as it used to be I’d more than likely buy it.
@1 - Stick with uTorrent dude, it offers more protection (IPSniffer) facilities then your average Torrent Client.
@5 - I have Simultaneously Run Object Desktop components such as WindowBlinds, ObjectBar, IconPackager, and WinStyles and then put on CursorXP to top it off.
Then ran it through a host of benchmarks comparing it to a clean setup. Benchmarks included 3DMark, PCMark, UT2K3, and others. The result? No discernable performance hit.

I have been using this program for years it uses hardly any extra resources on xp as it intergrates itself into windows and some of the best skinners on the net design skins for this prog and for a small price to purchase is defo worth it this is one of the very few progs i actualy will pay for and the last version of windowsblinds when was cracked actually caused problems to windows so if you have probs you know why and go buy it you won’t be disapointed ^^

This is like Style Xp which is what I use. I had one visual style that made the start menu look like a glass orb. It definitely is nice to see a visual change to windows once in a while. It makes you realize how boring the standard windows interface is.
This does actually cause a performance hit, but specifically, the hit in “window blinds” is caused by windows itself..
Anyways, go have fun making windows pretty and more easy to use, while your at it, why not get Object dock, also made by the same company, a lot of skins require it, and it will definitely make your windows box Uber cool…….. then go ahead and kick yourself in the head ( multiple times if you wish) when you realize you just made yourself a Mac

Its weird but the only theme I like for XP is the black vista theme
It kind of comes down to what you use your system for. If you’ve got a newer system and most of what you do is watch movies on it or surf the net, it’s not likely that running this do -anything- to your system speed. That stuff isn’t exactly cpu-intensive. If you are hard on your system, or play high-end games, then you might not have a use for this. If you play games in full-screen, you don’t see Windows much anyway. No app is right for everyone… and you aren’t going to be in the target audience for every app… but chances are good that if they are a successful program, they DO have a target audience who likes and uses that product.
Just installed it and took it for a test drive. It’s alot of fun to play with, alot of color and light options. Very good product, now this is worth buying.

tried the diamond skin (gpu=GeForce6800GT)… when i click the startbutton, the startmenu shows up slow and it flickers. maybe something wrong with the crack or the program itself is bahhhd.
tried the zune theme… it’s ok…much better than cracked wb.

It explains all about how resource hogging is a myth with these softwares. I have this & the whole Object Desktop suite installed with 1gb of RAM. I easily still have 65+ percent of RAM left (with other apps running too). My system never lags or slows down either.
Try it out or do your homework before complaining

No one answered the one other person with this problem, and it really stinks. Download works perfect until I need the code. Open the keygen, get a number, put it in and “you appear to to have entered a serial number for an old or unknown product”. Stinks, cuz I’ve been wanting this for a while.

this is an excellent program to customize the way your windows looks. i’ve been using it for the last 4 yrs or so and will continue to do so.
for people who are concerned with possible slow downs of your PC experience, fear not, for any half decent CPU with 2GB of RAM and 128MB GPU memory will be able to handle it with no noticeable lag/slow downs in PC performance.
So unless you have anything less than a Pentium 4 + 512MB RAM + 64MB GPU Memory, you might have to reconsider using Windowblinds, but it’ll still work if you set your settings to moderate (e.g. round edges, shades, animations etc.)
