Is rather funny. I was observing some this father and son yesterday at the shop. The son was only a child and he had this kids magazine. Anyways, he pointing out to the CGI Yoda asking the father.
Child :- Dad, do you know who this is?
Farther :- That Yoda.
Child :- (Rather surpised on the reply from this father) How you know that

Somebody post a netload or megaupload link, rapidshare free accounts can only download at 65Kbit but in netload it is usually around 300kbit for free accounts

There are a bunch of reason why files are split into 100mb (even files that are 175gb).

Firstly, RS sucks and people should stop posting to it and it should be banned from this link site (hint hint). Now that I got that out of the way…

In general, splitting files has been a method for posting whether it’s using RS links, usenet or whatever. If one part of the file becomes corrupted, then you don’t need to DL the entire file, just one component.

It also serves to help protect the files (ulloader and dloader) that are posted. So you don’t know what’s being DL unless you download all the files and put them together.

As of RS links, the 100mb links seem to be faster than the 200mb links. At least when I was using RS links, I mainly use (gone back to) usenet.

In addition, RS only give points (at least when I was a premium user) to 100mb DLs and not 200mb DLs. So anyone trying to collect RS points would obviously choose to split the file to 100mb.

@ 11 ive always wondered that as well i dont kno if free users can dl 200mb files or still 100mb if its still 100 im guess theyre catering to them the more people they get to dl theyre files the more points they can get if its 200mb max size now then i dont ive wondered this myself maybe its to cater to people with lower bandwith speeds who dont want to tie up connection
