Star Wars Force Unleashed USA XBOX360-VORTEX
VORTEX released the USA XBox 360 rip of the new Star Wars Game today. I just downloaded this for Wii, haven’t played it yet, but it looks like it might be an okay game. The graphics, of course, look a lot better on this version than the Wii rips, but that is normal. This is Region Free if you missed the PAL rip. Enjoy!
This entry in the Star Wars saga casts players as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice”, unveiling new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. hank hill.. PC’s are now one generation further than the current consoles. maybe they should rethink. Anyway as far as i know its planned for PC release which is too bad for them – not everyone does his gaming on consoles they’re missing an important market.

this game is badass
This game just so much fun especially if you’re a SW fan. I have both the Wii and 360 version and as far as graphics they don’t compare its like night and day. So glad I got both consoles. About the only thing going for the Wii version is motion controls like swinging the remote for light saber and flicking the nunchuck for force push…etc. BTW, those who complain about PC release better get used to it cuz its gonna be come a common occurrence.

Cameron Suey, producer of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of upcoming Star Wars game The Force Unleashed has revealed that he understands concerns that the game isn’t coming to PC but tried to offer an explanation. Suey stated that it really wasn’t feasible to bring the game to the PC as it would take a VERY POWERFUL PC to pull off the physics and it is DEFINITELY stretching the Xbox and PS3 to the limits.

They will port to pc in given time rest assured. If your still believing everything you hear from these game producers then your a fool. The cost of porting this over to pc would be miniscule in comparison to the profits. If you ask me, there uaing this ploy to force all the die hard SW fans in the pc gaming community to go out and buy themselves a xbox360 or WII. Why tell you itll be ported in 6 months, when they can generate the extra sales by telling you its not and then doing it anyway at no loss.
You cant tell me a few out there arnt considering buying a WII or xbox given the entice of this game.

Oh, it’ll get ported, just like Gears of War. And just like Gears of War, it’ll be way out of it’s league on the PC, where the controls will feel clunky, the action is to slow, the graphics will look poor and it’ll be outmatched by non-ported PC games.
Unless of course the impossible happens and it turns out lucasarts can make good games. *snicker*

My PC is Quadcore Intel @ 3.8 Ghz pr core.
8 gig pc-8500 ram, 2x GForce 8800 Gtx (768 mb ram) /w PhysX (as 8800+ cards have that now).
I dont care HOW good the gfx/physics for that game is, you tell me i cant run it on PC if i they made it ?

Its simply put BS console commercial style game creation, and for that im no longer buying lucasart games until this comes to PC.

I agree with NMarez – any one of my three PC’s leaves the new Gen consoles in it’s wake, be it in speed, graphics, or playability. Furthermore I used to work as a language/compatibility tester for MS Xbox and know what kind of crap they are selling…

One flaw in that statement.
Xbox360 games, PS3 games are pirated just as much if not more (because of the price of those games).
Also, hardware for PC is becomming ALOT cheaper, so if you seriously cant afford to upgrade every 2 years, you must be a crazy whacko living of what the street dump provide.
And that said, you CAN upgrade a PC, you CANT upgrade a Xbox or PS3 (you can buy another controller tho), but they will never provide the same freedom and amount of software a PC have.
Anyways, sorry for jumping in on this thread, but i say down with Lucas Art unless they provide this for ALL the fans, not just console owners.

I played a few minutes of this before going to work and I must say this game looks awesome. The detail to the characters is top notch. Star Wars fans are gonna love this game not that Im one I just like adding to my game collection

Sam, you could probably get away with it considering it’s being officially released in 2 days. A couple of friends got banned (I think they were playing while logged into Live too) when they played GTA4, which was leaked something around 2 weeks before release date, possibly 3 weeks in their case. I think you should be fine though, esp. if you are using 1.3 or 1.4 iXtreme firmware.
Also this was an obvious choice not to bring to the PC. Also remember, this game involved 4 different developers… I personally would have liked it if they dropped 2 system developers if that what it would take. Interesting to see Star Wars go the Call of Duty route of trading up the PC for consoles (I have many found memories of the hours of online play with Dark Knights 2 – I played it on Zone.com – which like most thing, Microsoft now owns… heh fun hacks and such in that game, you could use your specific guns to spawn objects, like an early Garry’s Mod).
Oh well, until a GotY edition comes out for the PC (hopefully), enjoy this game on your X360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, NDS and for some reason, your cell phone.

It’s hyperbole like this that makes me ignore most of the bullet points the companies offer.
I’m actually buying a console this week just to play sports games. I’m still gonna do it, but I went to the store and looked at the rows and rows of games that didn’t interest me. This one looks ok, but I know it will only be as complex as the gamepad allows. Even with the sports games, sorting through the stats that I love and adjusting rosters, etc becomes a seriously painful and monotonous task using the gamepad. At times it’s the best possible way to play, but as the ONLY way, it comes up way short.
Even though there aren’t as many PC games out these days, I still seem to have more good ones than I can play. I started playing Mass Effect finally last week and I can’t imagine how slow it must seem on a console with all the dialog and the wait times that seem inherent even on the newest generation.
I also can’t decide which one I want to get, the 360 or the PS3. The kids have had the Wii 2 yrs and I’ve not played it yet. I’m gonna be upset if the sleek PS3 just shows off dust.
I am so anticipating the game “Pure”. It looks cool as hell. I like the ATV type racers.
@45 I personally dont favor torrents only because you depend on the seeders upload. It can tend to be slow. Plus torrents are sometimes risky not knowing who is seeding on the other end.
