    Lol guys, even is someone is crazy enough to put it on a public tracker he will seed it for like 3 days (when everyone is at 15%) and then stop it becuz it takes to long. Consider usenet or private trackers.

    Great release, and the differences between DVD and HD, even in the oldest movies, are nottable.

    I got the 720p releases a while back.

    Anyone who can’t get this though really shouldn’t be on this site at all. Public = useless, terrible & slow.

    Good post though. Doubt I’ll bother though since I have the 720p one’s.

    Excuse ignorance etc, but does it only need one person to download it on a private tracker and then seed it via one of the public sites. Surely this is inevitable??

  26. Cloaked_Warrior
    December 12th, 2007 | 22:12

    @29
    Unlikely. This big of a release? That’s crazy. You need a team of seeders.

    Of course it’ll be on some public tracker. Just look at Pirate Bay, got lots of torrents there larger than this.

  31. feffrey
    December 12th, 2007 | 22:17

    idk why the hatred to public tracker. Sure slower when compared to private, but if you don’t care if it takes a month do dl something this massiveso what. I spent over a month dling every stargate ep on a public tracker. It was only 80 gb. Most games and HD stuff only takes a day or so.

  32. xty
    December 12th, 2007 | 22:17

    never hit the public trackers, eh?
    so what if I download this and then upload to newtorrents or tpb, who’s gonna stop me? :D

  33. Morfar

  34. eitanois
    December 12th, 2007 | 22:19

    @33 -

    You have 3 option:

    1 – Convert to mp4 BD or HD-DVD standers

    and burn into a empty BD or HD-DVD and play in a compatible

    player for those formats.

    2 – put the file in your XBOX 360 and use its hdmi output.

    3 – Plug a PC that have a HDMI\or other HD output to a HDTV.

    The HDTV rips have been around for awhile. I just hope that doesn’t mean that during commercial breaks they fade out to black and back in again adding random transitions to the movie.

    @83, if you have 2megabits/second you would download this in 3.34 hours.

  73. TempPD
    December 12th, 2007 | 23:38

    It would actually take about 52hrs 13mins to download it … and that’s at pretty much max speed.

    Usenet… at least giganews is very consistent speedwise. It’ll max out your internet connection pretty much depending on where you are/your ISP’s connection compared to giganews servers. I have a 6mbit connection and for some reason logistically I get a consistent 5mbit connection to their servers.

    2mbps is 2 megabits per second which is equal to 250 kilobytes per second or .25 megabytes per second. thats the thing with internet companies, they use megabits not megabytes. it would take you 54 hours and 45 minutes to download at a constant speed of 250kb/s ;)

    @Gunslinger

    What are you using, some kind of free internet connection or something? I’ve never heard of any of these problems you are having with your ISP.

    As long as I pay my bill each month, I can download as much as I want and at 30Mbps/5Mbps speed. And I don’t even have the top of the line expensive account.

    Most people are not in the situation you are in, maybe you should open up your wallet and get yourself a real internet connection.
