I hope they catch a 720p of ep 11 in some rerun soon… I got a p2p release now (which oddly, is in a anamorphic ratio. it surprised me that comedy central actually cropped this show)
weird that this isn't HDTV, why switch sources?

you're talking about the "Star.Wars.The.Clone.Wars.S01E11.720p.HDTV.DD5.1.x264.mkv" file ?
it's from SkyHD british. The letterbox video is NOT cropped and it's the original aspect ratio of thie series. Unfortunately Cartoon Network IS the one that broadcast it cropped… see a comparsion screenshot I created I created here:

oh, on the ep11 from the british SkyHD there is no channel logo or commercial breakes!!!

I know it's CC that does the cropping and I guess I should agree that that's the odd part about it, not the other way around.
I'm hoping that future dvd/bluray releases will be the correct ratio (at least there won't be ugly logos floating around…)
