Star Trek The Wrath Of Khan 1982 720p BluRay x264-SiNNERS

Want to brush up on your Star Trek before the new Star Trek movie (Which looks awesome) comes out in about 2 weeks time? SiNNERS have just released “Star Trek The Wrath Of Khan” in 720p which is the second film based on the Star Trek science fiction franchise.

Khan, a genetically engineered “superman” prone to megalomaniacal delusions, was exiled years ago to the barren planet Ceti Alpha 5. He blames Admiral Kirk for his hard fate, as well as for his son’s death, and vows revenge. When Commander Chekov mistakenly beams down to Khan’s lair, the villain finally has a means of escape. Using a parasitic creature that allows him to control the minds of his victims, Khan seizes command of the Starship Reliant. From there he hopes to lure Kirk to his death, using equipment stolen from an experimental research project. These devices allow him to trigger something known as the “Genesis Effect” a means of generating new life from existing matter. Khan plans to use the creation machines as weapons, because the same fire of life that creates new worlds must destroy what existed before. Kirk and crew need all the courage and cunning they can muster in order to save their friend and silence Khan forever.

    @11 "I don't know what you have, but Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica are the real CULT movies, which were the benchmark for all the new one like Babylone and all this indifferent stuff!!!"

    Your argument only supports what I said!

    This is cult for grown up people who still lives in their immature past. Everything is solved with thecnobable, so you just have to reverse a polarity of something and the end, but real life is never been and will never be like that (believeme, future will never be like batlestar galactica). In real life you could have to earn your stuffs, no have them materialized or in a hologram.

    come on!

    @13 Your commentary only shows you are alienating your selve from the rest of the world. A lot of people, but not most of the people like this!! come on!

    You give even more support to my commentary.

    @() You're an idiot for not recognizing something so deep seated in modern pop culture. Age, socio-economic background, nerd/geek or not, who cares. A great movie is a great movie, even if it's only great to those that love the material.

    No one knows the future, so you yourself cannot categorically say how the future might or might not be. It might be like BSG or Star Trek. Heck Star trek predicted some cool stuff back in the 60s.

    @pirate12384 Full HD movies have 1920×1080 (2.073600 million) pixels per frame. Comparing the two is bit tricky, but the resolution of 35 mm film used in old movie cameras is roughly 10 million pixels per frame. That's five times more pixels than Full HD movies have, and the theoretical maximum resolution of 35 mm film is actually almost 50 million pixels/frame!

    @pirate12384

    This blu-ray edition has also undergone extensive digital restoration using the latest technology. Considering the movie is now over 20 years old, there should be a marked difference compared to previous DVD releases. I just hope they haven't augmented it with any new CGI.

    I hope they release number 6 next; the two Nicholas Meyer Star Trek movies are the best.

    @15 are you REALLY that stupid or playing at it? ST Communicators is where the inventors got the idea of flip cell phones. NASA is right now working on a version of "shields" to make sure that micro particles do not puncture ships hulls in space. NASA has also actually invented a rude crude version of a teleporter that can move non living tissue about 6 inches (was shown in Scientific America or you can read about it here http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/breakthrough-brings-star-trek-teleport-a-step-closer-451673.html or here news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/2049048.stm ) and are very close to having transparent aluminum as was mentioned in yet another ST film. Read about that here on part 7 http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2007/12/YE_10_breakthroughs

    Have viewed it now, given the age of the movie, I'd give the video 9/10 and the audio 9/10. Definitely better than any previous DVD release, the shadow detail is much better than DVD. The various scenes with levels of reds (lights, consoles and uniforms) are very good, with the reds well balanced against other colors.
