ROAR group is really rocking with these screeners. Here comes another one but it’s Star Trek movie this time. 
Video is in FS mode, and quality is as you would expect it from VHS tape. Anyway, check out the sample.
Plot: On the day of James Kirk’s birth, his father dies on his ship in a last stand against a mysterious alien vessel. He was looking for Ambassador Spock, who is a child on Vulcan at that time, disdained by his neighbors for his half-human nature. Twenty years later, Kirk has grown into a young troublemaker inspired by Capt. Christopher Pike to fulfill his potential in Starfleet even as he annoys his instructors like young Lt. Spock. Suddenly, there is an emergency at Vulcan and the newly commissioned USS Enterprise is crewed with promising cadets like Nyota Uhura, Hikura Sulu, Pavel Chekov and even Kirk himself thanks to Leonard McCoy’s medical trickery. I have downloaded several dvds by ROAR and they are all crap! Why would you post this?? Your rips look horrible at best they look like bad cam or TS> Download AT YOUR OWN RISK.

All the stuff being released by ROAR looks terrible, more like a CAM or TeleSync.

I just noticed the VHS part didn't see it earlier. That explains it. Sorry didn't mean to insult just couldn't figure out why the quality wasn't what it should have been. Keep up the great work.

This movie was retarted.
just flicked through it and its quite horrendous. The sound hisses like a crazy snake and the picture is cropped. the best version so far is the STG one IMO. until something better comes along stick with that. ROAR should be ashamed of themselves for putting out such questionable quality.

Great movie! Real bad release. Poor sound, fuzzy and vibrating vid and not even widescreen. The nordic blu-ray is out early october. Thats a month before US and UK. Wait for that. Its really worth the wait.

Props for the effort ROAR, but VHS screeners? Really? Its not 1997 any more.
This is not a screener just like most of the screeners showing up. It's a hotel recording. All of the hotel recordings have that buzz. There should be a new category for these. It's great that people are doing this bu for those that have been doing this for awhile I think this should be separated for the real screeners.
trueheart not a bad idea at all. That would help so we know what we are actually getting.

The movie in general is great, I totally liked it when I saw it in theaters, for this screener, not so great.
Wait for either a dvdscr or an R5 release, picture quality is not that good, sound is horrible with this continuous buzzing noise. A rip from a screener placed on a VHS tape?!?! Huh??? I thought vhsscr don't exist anymore, I thought all current movies are released on DVDs for screeners.
I hope a dvdscr or an R5 comes out soon.
