You know I don’t want to be angry but I am. People that say that others have crappy computers and that game works just fine and bla bla bla.
I just dont simply buy it. The reason is simple not too long ago I bought my computer just to play this damn thing and you know what I got ASUS G2 (gaming laptop) it’s got Dual core 512mb video card ATI 1700 2 gigs of RAM. Overall its still crashing/shutting down or what ever da F*ck you wanna call it (even with all the patching), and the irony is ASUS is a sponsor of that game. When you 1st start playing the bunker guy in the begining showing its self sitting in the cage with my fucking laptop EXACT the same one. Dont get me wrong the laptop is great and I can run any game on it except that one.
I just dont simply get it. Why is it crashing. I dont care about AI delay or some other deffect within. I just dont want it to crash anymore and I want finally finish the damn thing normal way. its been almost a year and so far nothing. STALKER is like a bastard child that THQ doesnt want to take a responsibility for. And i want to know simple answer. WHY?!?!?!everything is so fuc*ed up!!!!!!!!!

I had problems installing this patch. When I try to install it says that the checksum on the exe fails. Thing is that the crack doesn’t provide the original exe to replace so that you can run it. I tried copying ORIG from crack 1.0001 and that didn’t work either. How did you guys get it to run?

Oh btw save games from 1.000 -> 1.0001 do not work so I assume they continue not to work after you install 1.0003

And also, I have yet to play the game (still dling) but there is little chance it could “destroy pieces of shit” like F.E.A.R. and half life two. You’ve probably never played them, or played shitty demos and console versions. F.E.A.R. is intense. It is one of the best damn games out there. Unless this is the Oblivion of FPS’s, I doubt it will excell past HL2 and FEAR.

Grow a pair, and don’t speak such word’s. What if your grandmother saw that eh? She’d grab the soap and wash your damn mouth out.

FIRSTLY: This game rules, if you don’t like it, then your shit, not it, beacause if u can enjoy boring bollocks such as FEAR or HL2 then this wtf destroys those pieces of shit.

SECONDLY: If you can’t run it very smooth, YOUR PC IS FUCKING SHIT POO TURD LOG. So, either stop fucking whining, and spend some money you cheapo cunts and buy a new PC, or alternatively don’t fucking download it, beacause it’s FREE.

THIRDLY: ViTALiTY Are fucktard cocksuckers, the only thing they seem to excell at is making themselves look fucking stupid, more and more by slagging off other peoples work, when their shit is no fucking better. Personally i think they should bumfuck each other and pass round that highly-sought after Anally Injected Death Sentence, and perhaps then they’d worry more about their pathetic EMO lives, and not the fucking reputation that they will never get online. HA CUNTIES.

Well the game is more heavy than Quake, cause Quake uses Doom III engine, which is OpenGL, here is D3D which mean more processor power, but more easy development, so the choice is yours kill your machine, or just forget about this game

I run Omega ATI video drivers instead of ATI released drivers. Maybe that is key? They always seems to work great for me and ATI seem to be overly bloated.

@ GeoSeilo the saved games work from 1.0001 to 1.0003 because I’ve tried it. As far as I know it should work from 1.0000 just make a copy of your saved game to be shore.

I’ve had this game for over a month with the first patch, no real problems for me. A few AI bugs nothing to bad no crashes, smooth fps on hi settings.
I’ve been enjoying this game from the start.
If this new patch improves the game more then great I’ll give it ago (as long as I can keep my saved games).
Are the problems with Nvidia cards my ATI 1900XT 512mbs works great and with all other games to. Never had a problem with ATI drivers Nvidia on the other hand.
They may have the fastest cards on the market but not fastest drivers.

@ The One. I to have the same specs on my pc. And yes it runs ok. But on medium level or on low, But not on high settings like you said…One question The One, HOW THE HELL can you make the game run smooth on High settings .
Feel free to enlight me. :p
