S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Radiation Limited Edition Bonus Disk-iTWINS
Not many people know that the official release of STALKER was also distributed as a special limited edition with extra content. Well, you have to buy special “Radiation” limited edition to get this, but I wouldn’t wonder if many people do so, just because it’s so cool game. This bonus disc is only on 1 CD, no DVDs like in case of Tiberium Wars. The bonus disc contains exclusive videos, trailers, screenshots and other extra stuff from developement of this game.

- Survival Guide – 50 page artbook detailing factions, mutants, weapons and more found in S.T.A.L.K.E.R

Zone Map (Paper part) – game world map including flagged points of interest.

well i haven’t had a chance to check the bonus disc yet, but the game receives about 90% in average in almost all reviews so it won’t be that bad probably…
The code to acquire the extra maps and skins have been out for some time.

Stalker is a great game , too bad people don’t spend more than 10 minutes playing to figure that.

Good vs Bad
While the game is based on a great concept, I can see why so many peeps think of the game as disappointing. I’ve spent more thna 10 minutes with the game, and here is why i quit in the middle: the respawn of the enemies really pissed me off, and was the reason I quit playing halfway. There is simply no way to go back to previous locations to explore them further without havin to fight off hordes of respawn enemies (for what ammo is simply too scarce) or trying to circumvent them (which can take ages). The enemy ai is also unrealistic good at spotting you, which mekes the knife totally useless and negates any sneaking fun

Then how comes that I’ve sneaked and killed (with the knife) experienced military guys just near the base where you start the game?! The mutants and the zombified damn soldiers can’t be killed with a knife… or they can but it’s really tuff if you havn’t got like 3-4 medikits. And yes… the respawning this is pretty gay… but what did you think? Just kill everybody and be all by yourself in the world?! It’s a damn good game and I bet that everybody that was and is a Fallout fan enjoys this game. After you are at the middle of the game, after visiting labors X18 and X16 you can go to previous locations and kill everybody and explore how much you want, so you know you don’t have to go and explore them again.
Just play and enjoy the game, and a good computer configuration makes the difference! Belive me.
The only part i did not like was the rich ending…by that time i was too lazy to turn around and go back to the hideout. And is there any other place to get the oicw…i would really like to try using it b4 getting stuck inside the core…
I too really enjoyed the (single player) game up till the end, where the developers preceded to simply slap you in the face with a completely lame, anticlimactic closure to what was up to that point, a immersive plot. Almost as bad a KOTR2. Some new guns and cut scenes from the mid-game are not going to fix that.

eh? I’ve played through twice, both end up in the reactor with the same click for “rich” cut scene. Second time around I followed up on the identity plot all the way, it still didn’t change the end. What am I missing?

Ammo isn’t scarce. Join the freedom faction and get unlimited ammo off one of their tech guys, ammo for that sweet machine gun with the scope. Best gun ever.
I wonder why people complain so much about respawning of enemies … would you really prefer to walk miles without anyone to harm you in a SHOOTING game? Come on …
Once you have a good set of weapons and some nice armor , you can deal with almost any amount of enemies without any problems. One of my friends were complaining because they ran out of bullets , then I saw his savegame , the guy had like 20 grenades. I asked him why he did not use those , he replied “I am saving those for later …” OMG , there is so much ammo around , grab a G37 and you will be able to take out any human target with just one shot (need to be a headshot , but with this gun , it is really easy!).
Well , of course , this is just my opinion.
But I´d like to make my point clearer , I really like the respawning enemy because …
… they provide me more ammo and medkits/bandages everytime I kill them.

400 megs is not too bad. I deleted the original game though because it was boring, but each his own.
Just to clear things up. I didn’t mean the game is disappointingly bad, it just didn’t deliver on what was promised.
Anyway, it isn’t getting 90% reviews FFS, it’s more like 80% (check gamerankings) and it’s mostly due to some originality and great atmosphere. The execution is surely lacking.
Well I need a good 1ps, been playing WoW for the past 2 years, and time for a break. Downloading Silverfall also as that looks nice.
I do hope this game is worth it, going to be at 50% of my cap lvl after download :- P

Stalker is shit. The above poster is right, even if you are sneaking around the AI still knows you’re there… completely unrealistic. And I don’t think fans of fallout like stalker at all. Loading between levesl ? wtf, c’mon oblivion was out for ages before stalker and it’s world was as complex as stalker and it only loaded between outside and inside. Not to mention they took their sweet ass time and still had to remove vehicles and co-op, all the shit that made me want this game. Also the weapons are shit, spray and pray more like it.
Will there be a sequell S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ?? I really liked this game a lot. And I would love a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2!!!

Stalker is a great game and i hope for a sequal. If you realy play this game through properly and carry out the tasks completly you will get to the propper ending that explains the whole game and who you are etc… Awsome 10/10

you asswipe! the reason Oblivion is “better” might be because the team that made it is one of the best equipped in the world.
the team that made stalker had limited resources, and still they completed the game.

atleast I and many others with me can see that this game is very wellmade if you consider their resources and teammembers.
Stalker is not a great game, there is lot to be complained about and many things gone in a wrong way, just too many dissapointments (they promised 30km Zone in a whole, not 6 levels, I cry for this at times) that could have been evaded in a (too)long gamemaking, but it is still a very good game that kept me in front of a screen many, many wonderful thing…ouhh….hours
I do not doubt in a sequel, as the thematics is just so great that they could make 3 or 4 games on it alone. So shut the arguments…
BTW I am also interested in a Extra content that I got whit the game, but i can’t find the two codes needed for unlocking it. I heard that it contains some trailers and gamemaking photos and stuff, o il be very thankful if someone would share them

The game is good, but it has so many bugs that make it unplayable… I have great hardware to support it but it all sucks because of the bugs.
The ones who like it like it because of big terrain to play on. AI sucks greatly, NPC’s are stuck, shooting thru the walls, die when given medpack, die in the middle of conversation etc. etc. etc.
Game 8/10, Gameplay 2/10 lol

I found the first stalker game excellent, the best of FPS genre, now this new game, a follow up, is even more !!! This one is not like the Crysis crap that you finish the game in 3 days and the AI is stupid!!
The game is great.
Now for the bad, well you NEED to install the 2 news patches to allow the game to run smooth, otherwise, it will crash everytime.
I bought the first version, with the error at the serial code, didn't have the chance to buy the especial ed.
