St Trinians 2007 CAM XViD-PreVail

St Trinians is a British movie that pretty much made for the British people. PreVail have released a Cam of this movie which isn’t to bad but I suggest because of the comedy in this movie don’t bother unless you’re British or like British humor. Also the quality of this Cam is poor but there may not be any other releases of this movie so grab it if you want to see this movie.

St Trinian’s, a school for “young ladies” with its anarchic doctrine of free expression, brings together a motley crew of ungovernable girls who, using their wit and ingenuity, save the school from bankruptcy.

    Overall,
Video-8 for a cam…high contrast, colours a bit wishy washy, some covering
audio-6 tinny and hollow but easyily understandable
very watchable with a few tweaks in vlc.

This movie is just one of many.. its just a bit updated, but still the same humor. I kind of liked the 1960 movie, so ill give this one a chance :)

The Belles of St. Trinian’s (1954)
Blue Murder at St. Trinian’s (1957)
The Pure Hell of St. Trinian’s (1960)
The Great St. Trinian’s Train Robbery (1966)
The Wildcats of St. Trinian’s (1980)

I don’t know what British history books say but I do recall American books saying we whupped you Brits a couple of times.

If you’re not too offended may I watch this too? It might be good. I did enjoy Hot Fuzz.

Saw the trailer. Looks a pile of rubbish compared to the originals. Im sure the British press will give it their usual “best british movie in years” review though. Yawn.

By the way, no thanks for your misguided opinion about british people and their sense of homour. Its s good that you have such a broad mind and that your not generalising or nowt like that……

    don’t be so ignorant blake.

i think martin likes employing controversial people because it creates clicks which creates ad-cash.

the film is no good btw.

This movie is good, just because alot of our humour doesn’t consist of crap and fart jokes and dressing animals in human clothes, doesnt mean you have to single it out.

I think alot of people could enjoy this movie, where ever you come from.

    Generalizations can be dangerous

    …even this one

I’m not sure there is such a thing as nation specific humour.
    It’s all in your head.

It’s hard to see this sort of 50’s humour transposing to today’s cinema watchers, but i’m sure it’ll get a lot of people to watch even if it’s just for the women in school uniform factor.

    New poll:

    Shall Mr.X resign from rlslog.net?

    [ ] YES
    [ ] NO

And somewhere a discussion should be possible about Mr X childhish behaviour – yes, I know this is off-topic, but where else shall I voice my view or others theirs, since Mr X closes the comments so he can bully his ego through – this is kindergarden.

I really like rlslog.net, but people like Mr X should not be staff here and have elevated priviledges in order to push their views and silence widerange opposition (whether voiced with reason or without is another discussion).

@ Rest of rlslog Staff: Mr X thinks this site is an ego power tool for his view – either this site is to inform about releases, and share background info on material, but not have Mr X use this site to have a let out of his problems. Have a serious talk with him, and tell him what this site is about – and that he should refrain from abusing his priviledges to silence opposition to HIS VIEWS, but rather confront it maturely OR stop to push his personal views here at all.

being british myself i used to watch this movie in its black and white format, the originals cant be beaten, they were funny in there time, back then in the 50’s and 60’s back then they were comedy classics, but in the times we live in,it dont seem to fit into this time scale, dont get me wrong the movie is more than likely very good, but some movies should be remembered for what they were not to be remade come on britain you can do better than this,we have a lot of talented producers and directors here in the uk and im sure together they could come up with something more than reviving a film that belongs in the archive dept of british comedy.

    December 30th, 2007 | 16:18

Is that an actual screenshot? Looks more like it’s from a Rihanna video or something. And British movies are good, but only if it are comedies.

@20: It seems Mr. X has cleaned his act. His latest post where dull, but solid. I guess the rlslog staff has put thumbscrews on him and he has no choice except to behave himself. A good thing! But in the light of what he has said in the past, it would be better if he would resign.

    Is this film any good?
Wanted it for my gf but i only read spam and nukewhine AND poor mrX whine.

Man you guys whine a lot haha…been on this site a loooong time…wish i could see the people behind the spam, think most are still maturing but in a very slow manor, maybe it’s polution these days!

Mr. X is the most discussed topic here, sure he’s a typical euro bloke (mean that in a good way) judging by his post so stfu already…i can make anyone of you look bad if you post enough, same for him…you guys simply need to leave this site alone because yall make into a whinebomb, it’s not the poster who fooks up this site it’s the bloke who comments on it!

Mr. X please STAY!!!…i like your wordly view unlike the awfull short viewed people commenting here…at least he posts stuff for everyone! (this is not off topic, just want movie – info instead of whine…it’s wanabe on topic!!!!)

NOW pls tell me about his movie!

“St Trinians is a British movie that pretty much made for the British people”

mmm, not a good comment? The “British” make some of the BEST comedy there is. And the “British” sense of humour is amongst the best there is.
America and others have tried to copy it and failed to succeed (look at The Office, what a mess they made of that!).
Shaun of The Dead? yes a “British comedy” but who could fail to laugh at it or understand the “British”. Nobody else can do it but the Brits! I like many comedies from the US etc and most of the time it can be understood by many other countries.
Please RLSlog try and not to make stupid comments like that. I’ve not yet seen St Trinians and will wait for decent copy, but if it is anything like most of the other “British” comedies then it will be worth waiting for.

Not the British part, that is good. The english actors in this film is crap and the english accent is just pathetic sounding. Another promising British film is ruined by the attention seeking english. They should have made this movie more British and removed the english cowardice from it.

There is nothing wrong with the British sense of humour. At least we have a sense of humour.
We dont have the piles of cash that the yanks studios have, but we do our best.
No doubt the film is crap but dont judge us all by it.

I’m sure that RlsLog meant no offence to us Brits. The concept of St Trinian’s was created by a British cartoonist and all the St Trinian films are British so why would it be expected that folks in the US would know much about it? I’ve only been using this website for a month or so and I’ve found that the people on the boards here can be quite evil toward each other. I thought people visited here to discuss movies, not to insult each other!
You lot need to calm down and take a chill pill.
ps. I though this film was really funny but the cam copy is just awful
