Sponsor 3rd RLSLOG Birthday Competiton!
The tough month of January meant some downtime and legal problems for RLSLOG, but that’s all history, we are running fine and the site is stable now. The problem is, we missed the day of RLSLOG’s 3rd Birthday! And although I could easily skip this and wait for next year, it’s a great chance to give away some cool prizes to you, our readers… and I am sure you don’t want to miss that either.
Our last Birthday competition was quite a success with prizes worth few thousand dollars. All you had to was send an original piece of graphic with RLSLOG theme and if your entry was good enough, you had a chance to win some nice prizes. I won’t uncover what you will need to do in order to win yet, but I can promise you some cool prizes once again.
We will sponsor and offer numerous prizes, but the biggest part relies upon you. If you have something to offer, we would be really happy if you could sponsor our 3rd Birthday Competition with a nice prize. You can submit basically anything including Premium download accounts (Rapidshare, Megaupload, …), webhosting, domain names, gift certificates, membership accounts, cash (PayPal), software or hardware (you need to be able to ship it worldwide though). If you have something to offer, don’t wait any longer and send us an email with more details!
You probably ask what you will get in return. Well, we will mention you here at Releaselog in a special post, together with URL and description you provide. Each sponsor will be mentioned at least two times, in two separate posts. Considering the massive readership we have, I can guarantee you at least few thousand visitors sent to your website. This is also a great chance to do some branding and spread the word about your service through our site. The deadline for sponsorship offers is Friday 13 – the competition will start on the following weekend. Looking forward to the next weekend!

@17. Uninstall "ABP" AND SEE HOW MANY ADS POP UP IN A 10 MIN TIME FRAME. With all the users who visit this site it would add up 2 far more then "monthly server costs"
i remember hearing a rough figure back in the days of "MR. X" (Who btw was a douch) and that figure was in the $10,000 a month range. Now seeing that martin is a total tight-@ss and he don't pay for nothing but servers and the girls/guys on "craigslist" (hehe) i would think he would have some $$$ 2 fund his own sites birthday comp IMHO.

It is you who is the idiot. Rlslog use Leaseweb, who are as cheap as they come apart from OVH.
Considering that the only image hosted on the server is the logo in the header, I'd say the bandwidth usage isn't that high. The server would cost no more than $500 a month, and I'd be suprised if the amount of ads on here didn't rake in at least 10x that.
Rlslog has had it's day. Move on to somewhere that actually posts releases, like irfree or sceneddl.
