Here’s a new show broadcast on court tv. It looks interesting, has ‘COPS’ like elements but is a little more interesting than just following a police officer on patrol. It’s spring break in Panama city, Florida. Officer Neil Rubel of Bay County Sheriff Dept. keeps the streets safe by controlling the out-of-control. The cameras follow Neil while he watches out for kids hanging out windows and kids loaded in the beds of pickup trucks. Now, most of these traffic stops are for minor violations. But it just so happens to be that the show creates mug-shots of the suspects, and then adds their names, city and driving experience. It makes me wonder why these people would not ask to have their faces blurred out. The show features a little panel that comes out in the corner and has messages of interesting facts, like ‘the average male on spring break consumes 10-12 alcoholic beverages per day’ . And reality hits you: having a good time is impossible without being entirely unsafe.

Get in the front seat next to police officers as they go in pursuit of law-breakers on the road. This Court TV series turns the camera on manic motorists as they engage in high-speed chases and devise wild excuses for their wreckless driving.
