There is a password on that crack fix up there on #2. I previously downloaded the hatred version and when installing it says steam is too busy to handle my request, and im currently still working on it..if I get it working, ill let you guys know how. Anyone else got any news?

This release is over 20 megs smaller then the Hatred release so I would guess it’s non-steam.
Hopefully, the hole steam “trick” is pretty phoney.
Wouldnt be the first time Valve banned accounts becouse of something like this, i wouldnt risk my money.

Theres nothing I could do to install the files..steam just wouldnt do anything. Oh well. I’m going to try this new version. Its missing a few hundred mbs of data, so im sure theres something different with it. I really want to play this game, so if anyone finds anything out, post up.

Thats from the new hatred patch. SO perhaps it fixes the installing.

This Release is a 100% Non-Steam Release. No Steam Files or something like that need to be installed. Just a “normal” Install Routine,copy crack,play!

If memory serves me, Steam games that bypass a Steam install require a completely different install method, so chances are youre just going to have to download the whole thing again.

Was like $25 or something for 6months on megashares and I didn’t post, it popped up on there about 15mins after I saw the info on rlslog, I get an average of 900k - 1mbit off megashares, took me 20mins or less, can’t recall to get this game. It has it’s advantages if you can afford to pay for the premium access.
or you can join a private forums and pay $10.00 for VIP and get access to 100s of megashare and rapiidshare accounts and passwords.. haha soooo much faster than you guys waiting for torrents lol I download 700meg divx in 6 mins haha

at 39 i use Torrents i have an good speed actualy on public trackers and never have to woory like buuhuuu when it will be on rapidshare.

I can’t get this to work. When i try to start a match it loads up to 100% and then nothing happends. And .DMP files keeps showing up in the Speedball folder when it crashes. Any ideas of what the problem can be?
I can’t get this to work either. When i try to start a match it loads up to 96% or 67% and then nothing happends. I installed direcx9 and c++ redistributible from the install dir.

Still can’t get this to work. Crashes when its about to start the match just as before. Would be thankful if anyone who have met this problem know how to fix it.
With me it was also missing the d3dx9_32.dll. I´ve download it and put it into the windows/system directory. After, i runed the speedball2.exe file (from the crack) and the game entered fine. I played for some minutes but i realised that the redefinition of the controls dont work. I can´t make a simple pass or shoot withou beeing with the mouse. I think it has some problems in the controls,like “sculp666″ said before. Sometimes it´s really better to have the original softwares. But i know it´s also a matter of time untill everything works fine cause the game only has released on 27 november. Let´s wait and see, otherwise christmas is coming…

Alfonso the original has the same problems too. Patch will come, is a matter of time. With the keyboard is very hard to configure it well. But if you have joypad:
If you have already tried to configure your Pad without success, start the Speedball2_cleaner.exe file from the installation directory and then answer yes when you been asked if you want to delete the pads.cfg file, answer no to the other questions.
Now restart the game and configure your gamepad.
For logitech pads:
– If the mode button is activated (red LED is on), while the game asks to configure the X analogue axe and the Y analogue axe of the pad, press the direction cross right and up, and NOT the left analogue stick. You can yet use the direction cross.
– If the mode button is desactivated (red LED is off), while the game asks to configure the X analogue axe and the Y analogue axe of the pad, press right and up on the left analogue stick.
is it really that hard to play with just the keyboard?
TezZ the main problem is that you can change the mouse controls and the default settings are pretty annoying
Have the same as 45:Jaepro and 46:phantom, Installed crack, updated my dx9 and installed c++ redistributable. I get a black screen and cpu goes crazy.

Game crashes when it finishes loading. I get a msvcr80.dll error. I installed c++ redistributable and directx, and installed msvcr80.dll on system32 directory because I didn’t have it.

It plays fine, but in league you cannot buy players. I got one ok, but cannot get another one, it spends the credits, then no new player… wtf.

Heheh, it wanted to configure my X-plorer controller…I can see it now, forward is green, back is red…jump is orange, move the strut button up to throw the ball. OOO, wammy bar for the goal!
Anywho, Im getting the same loading screen problem. Loads to 100% and sits there til I hit a button and then crashes…And then on top of all that, the only bloody support site is completely in German (cept for the Steam part, which obviously doesnt help…)! As Im looking through the game menus and such, I noticed a LOT of bad translations like “profil”. Maybe if they didnt rush it out like everybody else, they could have gotten some decent translators for the game and the site… *sigh* Guess Ill just wait for the patch and see what happens…
Very badly optimised game. Even with cfg tinkering to make it look crappy and low res takes hell of a lot time to load at the start as well as the start of the game.Is it a prob with the detonation cracked version or with the game itself.

I d/l it. It looks and plays very poorly. It is the only thing i have ever installed thats made me want to format my drive!
The original was actually a better package. If you’re after a good simple ball game get sensible soccer 2006. Easy on the eye and takes some skill. This is just a mess. Really poor excuse for the bitmap bros to come out of hiding and make such an ugly version. It isn’t actually satisfying in any way to score a goal or even make a pass in this game. I

So,i´ve downloaded the game. I´ve installed it. I´ve fixed the problems like missing files .dll´s. The game entered fine but it´s very very slow on loading. The controls dont work properly if you dont have a joypad. And i´ve realised that there are some textures missing, like arms of some players, legs (but they still run like nothing has changed). I dont know if it´s a problem of not having the original or not. Or maybe my graphic board (geforce go 7330 512mb).
I´ve desinstalled the game right after all this. Not that i didnt liked the game but i think the releases untill now still dont work properly. I´ll wait for a better release. But i have to confesse that the simplicity of our old speedball 2 is missing a little bit in this one. But has i said before, i will wait for a better release and then concebe a final opinion of it.

#44 - Thanks for the recommendation - I had the same problem with the missing d3dx9_32.dll file missing (no idea why I’m missing that file). I ended up downloading it from dll-files.com and unzipping it into the c:\windows\system32 folder, and presto - the game worked - which sucked. I mean, holy crap is this game ever bad. What a waste of bandwidth. I’ve played a lot of games in my time, and it’s been a while since I so quickly identified just how bad a game was. People, stop wasting your time trying to get this game to work - the prettiest part of it is the graphics on the box - the game looks no where near as good and many of the controls don’t work.
