Space Above And Beyond S01 DVDRip XviD-SFM

Space: Above and Beyond was a short-lived mid-90s American science fiction television show on the FOX Network, created and written by Glen Morgan and James Wong. Originally planned for five seasons, it ran only for the single 1995–1996 season. It was nominated for two Emmy Awards and one Saturn Award.

Set in the years 2063–2064, the show focuses on the “Wildcards”, a group of United States Marines, members of the United States Marine Corps Space Aviator Cavalry, 58th Squadron. They are based on the space carrier USS Saratoga, and act as infantry and pilots of SA-43 Endo/Exo-Atmospheric Attack Jet (”Hammerhead”) fighters. In this cult fan favorite, it’s the year 2063. After 150 years of deep space exploration, the people of Earth feel certain they are alone in the universe. Then word comes that two Earth outposts light-years away from home have been brutally attacked by an advanced alien civilization. Now the new young recruits of the United States Marine Corps Space Aviator Calvary are heading for the front lines of space in the toughest battle the world has even faced.

    One of my 5 favourite Series of all time. This was written by Wong & Freeman who were responsible for a lot of the better Xfiles episodes. They also wrote the movie "the 13th Floor".

    If you like this series and want more by the same writers/creative team. Try "Millenium" (especiallty the last 5 episodes of Series 1 onwards)

    Also "Harsh Realm" was another spin-off by Chris Carter who had these 2 writing.

    Whoever writes these captions are either brain dead-failed history and math-or just hoped no one would catch it, but really…"it’s the year 2063. After 150 years of deep space exploration" Does ANYONE really think we were supposed to have started deep space exploring in 1913? It would have been MUCH more realistic if the date was 2163, at the very least would have made more sense. Maybe that is why hollywood is "fantasyland" as everything they do or say, on screen or off is nothing more then fantasy.

    @common sense (#19)

    I don't know about 1913, but radio astronomy started in the 30s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_astronomy

    Because you *know* what deep space exploration is, right?

    @34-35. Have you ever considered thinking outside the box? HJsplit asks for .001, thought about renaming .part1 to .001? and .part2 to .002? At least that worked for me, and renamed the output file to .avi

    The dialogue goes “After 150 years of CALLING OUT …”, not “deep space exploration”.
