    Season 13 Premiere in HD

    On Wednesday March 11, 2009 at 10 pm EST South Park goes HD. We are really excited because, not only will the season premiere be in HD, but we have been working hard for over a year re-rendering previous seasons in native HD. We are not up-converting the episodes, but actually going into each episode and re-rendering every shot and frame at true HD. Check back soon for more info on the Comedy Central and South Park HD news, and the season 13 premiere.

    +CC HD already aired previous Southpark eps. in HD…

    He was talking about having watched the stream online. It's a secure stream, so linking to that would be pointless, and since he seems to think the scene have omnipotence, he's probably not very good with computers, so ripping and uploading are probably beyond him.     They're not magic. They have to wait for it to air, rip it, and then upload the release (assuming the rip came out ok). You watched it airing. Unless the scene groups have a time machine, or a Comedy Central insider (unlikely – they have plenty of insiders, but you'd have to really not like your job to leak South Park – Comedy Central would rape you if they found out), the rls will always come a while after the air time. And in the case of HD, it'll often come a lot later.

    Suck it up b1tches – if you can't bear watching South Park in anything less that HD, maybe you should subscribe to Comedy Central?

    This version is still cropped to 4:3 aspect. The HD version is in widescreen. Most (if not all) of the show's action is contained within the 4:3 part, but it's still overcropped.

    People are saying the audio for south.park.s13e01.720p.hdtv.x264-aptoe is about 200ms out of sync. There's a different release called "South Park S13E01 1080i DD2 0 AJP69" that has been posted on the alt.binaries.hdtv newsgroup. I haven't got the release yet or seen any comments on the quality but here's a link for the nzb http://nzbmatrix.com/nzb-details.php?id=414334&hit=1 (have to sign up for a free account). Would be nice to hear if it is a quality release or not.
