Southland Tales CAM XViD-CAMERA
Lots of CAM’s being released today, looks like cammers have adopted to all the new anti-piracy gizmo’s that have appeared in the cinemas recently. Hopefully they have even though this film has been out for about two weeks (since the 14th). The CAM in question now is from group CAMERA and i would say its a good effort. The quality is is watchable, everything can be seen and heard just not to its full effect as if you were watching a DVDRip say. Now to the movie, its called Southland Tales and it stars three big Hollywood names; Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Seann William Scott and Sarah Michelle Gellar during the start of World War 3 sometime in the near future. The movie is over two hours in length (144 Minutes) and comes on one CD. If you like CAM’s then ‘Smoke up and enjoy’.
Plot: Southland Tales is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Boxer Santaros is an action star who’s stricken with amnesia. His life intertwines with Krysta Now, an adult film star developing her own reality television project, and Ronald Taverner, a Hermosa Beach police officer who holds the key to a vast conspiracy.

Definitely one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Can’t wait to see what Kelly has come up with after donnie darko, but i’m probably gonna wait for better quality

I saw the trailer to this movie a while back. In a way Richard Kellys movies are interesting but sometimes just too random for my taste. Waiting for better quality..

Not playing in my local theater. I want to see it, AND would be willing to pay the stupid $8 ticket, $5 soda, $5 popcorn to see it…but the idiots instead have Fred Clause playing on 3 of the 15 screens. Is that really needed? Instead I’ll be downloading it, screw the MPAA.

i haven’t been to blockbuster in a while, i’m from chile. but i keep receiving emails that say this movie is out in dvd here in latin america, i’m not sure, i’ll go check it out soon and’ll let you know if it’s really out.

The film you guys are talking about is called the rundown but where i live in the uk it was released as welcome to the jungle…who knows why?! They seem to change loads of titles over here in the uk like we wont understand the title or something…some examples…joy ride called here roadkill, turistas (paradise lost), its really confusing!

This movie is F$&KING AMAZING, best film I’ve seen in years, it will probably take a year or two for this film to catch on, it’s so ahead of its time, definitely worth seeing this in theaters.

The quality of the cam is watchable, but the film itself is anything but.
This is absolutely the worst movie I’ve seen all year, and perhaps the worst of the past SEVERAL years. It is ridiculously bloated with pretentiousness, and none of that pretentious adds up to anything substantial. It’s basically the movie equivelant of the typical stupid high-school sophomore who thinks they’re really deep and have a lot of deep, radical things to say to people, and that they’re the first person to think of these ideas, but in reality, they’re just full of shallow, retread BS that everyone’s heard, realized is garbage, dismissed, and left behind.
No word is more apt here than “mess.” It’s a mess, plain and simple.
Even if the plot wasn’t ludicrous and stupid, it’s full of some of the least likeable characters I’ve ever had the misfortune of having to spend two-and-a-quarter hours with, with the sole exception of The Rock’s character. It’s films like this that remind me so well of why the one thing that I find more annoying and disgusting that far right-wing extremists, are far left-wing extremists.
And what a pity, to waste such an outstanding cast. Sigh.
A pretentious, bloated, shallow, 2-and-a-quarter long mess, and a total cinematic disaster. That’s what Southland Tales is. Save your time, look for something else.

well i guess ppl are goin to love this r hate it, kinda likie donnie darko either you get it r ur lost kinda film. hav’nt watched it yet but might wait 4 better dl b4 doin that. mybe it’s just to smart for some ppl to get(look at above replies), the reason ppl like these types of movies is because there different, not the normal type you see day in day out, therefore when a movie like this gets released ppl slate it for reasons that there to dumb to have to think for a movie, no for those it has to have no brain power needed kinda setup. How come an anticipated movie like this, that was released 2006,haven’t been released in any better format than just a Cam..?
There are movies available that haven’t even hit the theaters yet and we’re still waiting for something that’s been out there for almost two years..
