Hello everyone this is Yankee back again here after a long break. Anyways, it’s Wednesday and that can only mean one thing - another brand spanking new episode of South Park, woo hoo!! Last couple weeks, 0TV pre’d the South Park episodes, and it was nice to have them all without any glitches. Well, they win once again and continue that streak this week as well with the release of tonight’s episode fairly quickly.
This week’s episode titled “Major Boobage” is - A South Park homage to the 1981 film, “Heavy Metal”, the boys are trying to get Kenny off the latest drug craze that’s captured the junior high and under set.

I don’t quite get why the scene groups hate torrenters. Is it because they attract too much attention to the scene? I could understand that they’d be mad if someone took their release and took off the credits, but most torrents have the exact same rar/nfo/sfv files as the release without any changes.

Just finished the episode. It totally makes up for last week. I want that car.
for some insight into why the scene hates torrenters read some scenenotices at scenetonice.org . the main reason they hate is because they claim its very insecure and your ip can be traced, which is true. and then ppl who leak the scene rls to private sites their IPs are out there… long story short it’s not as big as a deal as they claim it is but they have a few good points we could use as advice.

I don’t think it’s the sceners themselves who post onto BitTorrent sites, it’s probably Usenet or IRC users. It’s much safer for the scene for a scener to leak to Usenet/IRC, and then a Usenet or IRC user to leak to BitTorrent. Most Usenet providers advertise that they don’t keep logs, so it should be pretty safe for the scene to post there, which I think they do.

I know, BitTorrent sucks. It’s slow except on rare occasions, like Linux distros or very popular releases. Even before Comcast started throttling, I was thrilled to get even 60 KiB/s on a download. But now I have Usenet, and once you go Usenet, you never go back.

its not usually the sceners who leak to p2p but racers and other guys with access to their sites. plus there are hoards of scene idiots who steal from p2p, re-encode and then rar up like little pansy losers. most of them have been deleted off of sites though, but siteops need to keep being secure and purging insecure groups off their sites.

last weeks show was on of the best ever, and the show is only getting better… Only issue is the writers are slowly loseing intest in appeasing the sheep, and have decieded to get a little more intelligent and raw with their shows.. It might bug you to see the realitys of what we do to people like B spears, shes nothing but meat to most, and if she where to live with half a head, you can bet her promoters would keep promoteing her, and you can bet all you sick sheep would still tune in to see her boobies… most of you wont even understand what im saying im sure, but the fact of the matter is, south park is getting better and is to me, a thinker, funny as hell. = )

You’re so far off the mark it’s embarrassing (I’m 32 and have a PhD in Theoretical Political Science, I am quite well aware of popular culture’s workings and effects on Western societies and all the things you mention, I listen to nothing of what you state, I prefer John Zorn, Bach, and Godspeed you Black Emperor).
You think you are smart, you think you are one among the few to see a critical side of South Park, and you come off like a newly-born-again teenage ideologue (Left Right or Centre, you choose, the argumentation are equally simplistic in all camps) when you chastise people for not wanting to see the truth. In fact, the social criticism in recent SP is so painstakingly obvious that I am surprised you think anyone misses it.
And you feel so cool that you see those things in SP that you are completely blind to the fact that the series has always been about criticising politics and various aspects of society, but it used to be done with a sharp and innovative sense of humour and often more implicitly (look it up, dimwit). And the portions that were only about humour were much sharper as well. It actually used to be less poo than there is lately.
I am not surprised, Trey and Matt had to run out of ideas sooner or later, they lasted quite a long time as it was, until season 8 plus a few classics from season 9, IMO). Now it’s all about shock value cumbersomly built around some current topic (the reference to harvest rituals in last week’s episode was just plain stupid).
So, by all means, think highly of yourself if you want, but it is obvious to everyone else that you are not so smart as you think you are.
I could go on, but I am convinced that if you haven’t got my point by now you will not get it at all.
