South Park S12E02 DSR XviD-0TV
It’s Wednesday and that can only mean another new South Park episode (five more episodes until the mid-season break). Last week, 0TV pre’d the South Park episode, and it was nice to not have an episode without any glitches. They also released the release the episode fairly quickly. 0TV wins again and gives us the episode tonight as well. In the episode Britney’s New Look, the ‘Britney Spears Phenomenon’ is explored. Also check the NFO, 0TV has a nice message for p2p and torrent people. Right back at ya scene folks, and btw – stop stealing our releases, makes you peeps look really bad :nuked: .
Britney’s New Look: Britney Spears is trying to get away from it all in the mountains near South Park, Colorado when the boys have a run-in with her. Stan and Kyle get caught up in Britney’s celebrity lifestyle and the never-ending feeding frenzy that follows her wherever she goes.

I miss the early years when it was simple stupid crude humor, not over polished scored movie spoofs with lame jokes.
Whatever happened to characters like Ned, Uncle Jimbo, that crazy old scientist, Barbrady, Jesus, and the Aliens?
Why do all of the newer south parks this season suck? I’ve laughed maybe 3 times during this episode and the previous. Anybody else feel a little disappointed.

I hate having to work on Wednesdays just because of missing South Park.
By far the Scott Tenorman Must Die episode, the Scientology episode, and the one about global warming and Jew gold are, by far, my favourites.
From what I’ve heard, this episode is very 50/50 for enjoyability. That is, half like it and half don’t.

That was the most f##ked up episode of southpark i ever saw, it wasn’t even slightly funny.
Looks like almost South Park has lost it. These episodes have been so crap. The next one better be decent.

Possibly the worst SP episode I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen them all. I can honestly say that I didn’t laugh one time. All the potential this episode had was lost after the first 5 minutes or so, and it was all downhill from there….
Hope its not a sign of things to come.
WTF are you ppl talking about saying this episode wasn’t funny? It was hilarious, one of the best of the past 3 seasons or so. Maybe some of you here just can’t fully appreciate Matt and Treys sense of humour.

just my opinion…
It seems like more and more the `pure-simple-sophisticated` humor of the show
is replaced by sensless violence, gore and extremizm, specialfx etc..
(ie: killing, maiming exploding etc as the focal point of the joke)
in short : humor based on shock-value
more then often while trying to sneek at us
some kind of over-exaggerated moral-lesson ,social mirror / criticism etc.. at the same time…
And some time it works, some times it dosent.
Personally I got the social criticism in this episode right away,
it just wasnt funny to me the way they stretchd the no-head thing…
Maybe the boys in funny situations with a head- bearing spears would have held more water,
but thats just my opinion.
every once in a while there are still real gems.
so im gladly `suffering` episodes like this.

Epic Fail! This episode was not funny. Where were the jokes? The show has definitely changed for the worse. What happened to funny ass episodes like The Jeffersons? Last few seasons its been getting worse. Aids is killing South Park

Dude, the so-called social criticism is on such a basic and dull level that only early-teens can find any value in it, probably because they feel smart for having understood that there is a message behind the images in the first place.
Long gone are the days when this series had anything to offer people at or above medium intellectual level.

This is bad, saw it on comedy central… I sat with it trough the end, it just sucks…plain and simple, its been like this for new SP for a while, and a few crappy promotional episdes, Wii? WoW? Thats lame, I guess they can relate that to the younger viewers who spend their days playing wow tho, not a single thing funny about the WOW episode..
