Have not checked pricing, but other Sony Sonic Foundry stuff have scaled down versionsm Acid and SF. SO maybe this is the small Vegas.

This isnt a Vegas clone. Its a tool to create soundtrack for video. Theres no editing of video or audio involved. You just specify where in the video you want the high tempo or fast moving music, or the low tempo stuff, and the software will create a continuous music soundtrack to it. Really good stuff.

    @ 11

He’s lying, if there was a key for SF9 (Sound forge) it would have been on the scene by now. There is no key available for Vegas or SF yet and those crax are really dodgy if you ask me because you have to select the ‘online’ option to make them work instead of the usual ‘from another computer’.

I am however willing to be proven wrong! :)

He probably meant the quality is better with expensive programs with a 100 programmers on the project VS. a shareware app, with one developer doing it in his basement part time.
