Woo, heres the latest episode from the awesome series Sons of Anarchy. Unfortunately for me its the 720p version that has been released first, so im waiting for the Xvid verison (i will update this post once it is release).

    Seriously, this show is great in HD. It’s a big download, but totally worth it.

    I can’t wait for the season final to see how events transpire. :D

    Why can’t you play 720p on your xbox? If it’s because they’re mkv files, just google XenonMKV. Takes under ten minutes for me to convert an mkv file to mp4 which the 360 plays perfectly :)

    Yea are you positive the file is still HD?
    And yes the problem is because of the MKV files

    mkv and mp4 are both HD Video files, just make sure to check correct resolution

    Yup, the video is still in HD. All XenonMKV does is transcodes the audio into 2 channel AAC, which the 360 supports. All in all I can’t complain. Looks a LOT better than upscaling the regular xvid files.

    Yeah I went to the site and read about it and you are right. It doesn’t change the video at all, so thanks a bunch since I’ve also always wanted to be able to play HD from my Xbox to see it in better quality on my tv’s. You are the man for this.

    Awesome, ill have to give it a try sucks I only got a 2GB USB stick so guess I can only watch shows in HD not full movies

    Might as well try and see if it works for ya. As for movies, the 360 has an idiotic limit for mp4 files… no bigger than 4gig. So most hd movies need to be split, so it may end up being in 2 x 2gb files anyway.

    Oh, sorry. XenonMKV will split the files too. That program is everything you need to convert mkv to mp4 for the xbox to play.

    Good question. I’m guessing it might have to do with what program you use to convert, it may end up changing the resolution of the video. Not sure. That program won’t mess with the video at all, so whatever the video is to start with it will remain.

    +1 on the xbox 360 converting. for anyone who has a ps3, you mkv2vob, and play. just make sure when you are selecting your usb drive you click triangle and ‘display all’. gotta do it everytime.

    every show is just a little bit better in hd. thanks for links.
