Solstice DVDRiP XviD-iMOVANE
A totally unknown release group iMOVANE released a dvdrip of new horror “Solstice”. This is another STV title (although the release name somehow misses that), but it doesn’t look that bad: directed by Daniel Myrick (Blair Witch Project) and starring some sort of famous actors. If you want to have a scary night today, this could be a good choice.
From the director of The Blair Witch Project comes another frightening tale of the supernatural. Less than a year after losing her twin sister to suicide, Megan (Elisabeth Harnois, Point Pleasant) and her college-bound friends take one last road trip to the family home out on the Louisiana bayou. When a handsome local (Tyler Hoechlin, 7th Heaven) teaches them the Creole spell of the summer solstice, the group tries to resurrect the sister’s spirit – with deadly results. Also starring Shawn Ashmore (X-Men series), Amanda Seyfried (Big Love) and Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill), Solstice will scare you all the way to its shocking end.

Well, I hope a group releases the R5 of The Brave One with English audio today. That would be sweet.
PG-13 and a cast of teenybopper idols? Not an indication of a good movie. The only interest here is that Solstice is directed by one of the Blair Witch guys.

It’s not entirely unprecedented to get a dvdr so early. Bear in mind it’s almost 2008 anyway, and that smaller movies like this need to do well in reviews and word of mouth to do well.
They won’t have nearly as much advertising etc as a blockbuster movie from a big distributor, so they need to get as many review copies out there as they can, and as far before release as is possible, to let hype build up.
More review copies = more chance of a leak.
