this movie is great and it`s not the only one.i mean,all his movies or serials are superb,great and realistis.Colin is a great,talented actor,with extraordinary skills in theatre and other domains.i respect him,admire him and i think that he desrves the fame and the respect that people have for him.

Plenty of good Aussie movies out there if you look. Lantana for one and David Wenham was great in Getting Square.

Tubby Batfukk is clearly an american trying to act aussie, but I’m afraid you fail it my friend, if you called someone a “wombat” they would probably laugh at how much of a fag you are.

Also I’m also Aussie, and although I kind of recognize some of the faces I wouldn’t have a clue about the actors, not much their names, so again you fail.

Try get some internet research done on that topic, instead.

I didn’t mind this film, but even though it has some good actors that have done excellent things in other movies, the script and direction let it down. I mean, even good actors can only do so much with relatively poor dialogue.

If you are from overseas and only ever saw Colin Friels in Dark City, consider watching some of his other Aussie stuff before this one.

Feel a bit sorry for Vince C getting pogoed into his role, too I think this one would have been a lot better with unknown actors, rather than ones we’ve seen so good in other roles.

LOL I love it how people (mainly Americans) have a very hard time dealing with anything outside of their own narrow view points.

This film was made for $1 million AUD and is a debut for 1st time director Morgan O’Neil. Sydney has a long history of mob related activity and there have been numerous hitman that have made the headlines here – most notorious being Mark Brandon “Chopper” Reed. The infamous blow-torcher and toe cutting hitman from Melbourne (aka Uncle Chop Chop)

So I can understand that a lot of American and Euro audiences would not get the story or the aussie humor or any of the cultural references. However even if you live in the further most region of Alaska and you like “crime” type thrillers, you’re sure to get something out of this film.

I think its quite a commendable effort considering the circumstances in which the film was made. And lets face it – all film directors have to start somewhere. The film did ok at the Australian Box Office and has been getting strong DVD sales according to Empire magazine

Also to the “noob” aussie who commented earlier about never hearing of these actors – So you obviously have not watched TV for the last 20 years or you do not have cable or you don’t know shit about film or your just an ignorant wombat fucker!

Do your homework before you make foolish comments.
