AS I said earlier today: what a day! I guess that game addicts will be fairly busy in next weeks, because AVENGED just released another great computer game. There’s no need to introduce Soldier of Fortune – this game earned its popularity back in the old times by unseen level of brutality and violence. Well I been playing crysis for at least a 3-4 hours. and it pretty much a ripoff of the matrix and halflife 2 made into a doom on earth thing. I’m gonna delete the entire game and get this one.
Just bought to try megashares and max speed I get with 2 dl slots is 120Kb/sec on a 10Mbit line. Their service seems ridiculously capped. Just a warning for anyone in UK, I wouldn’t recommend buying a megashares account!
yeah about area 51, it was on here earlier and now its gone….weird. I downloaded a RELOADED version and theres like two rars missing from the first disc. Seems like a common issue today :S

Whooo Maaan! Another crappy game glorifying the slaughter of racial stereotypes in the name of ‘freedom and the American Way’! Who’s the enemy this time? I see the ubiquitous Sand Niggaz, maybe there are also Gook Niggaz and Russkie Niggaz as well? Not to mention Nazis as it was always hilarious in the other 2 SOF games that tried to rationalise the carnage by falling back on the ‘the enemy is a Nazi’ defence!

Just got done playing. Horrible. Highly suggest playing Double Helix again over this. It’s Activision VALUE. And it says that for a reason. You don’t even play the main character from the original Soldier of Fortune. No leaning. No graphics adjustments (only resolution), sound is weak and plain. Graphics are ok but nothing special. I’m going to install Double Helix now.

im just loving it. Of course it ist a value game so what… you don’t have to download like 7-10 gig and it still makes a lot of fun. New damage model ist just awesome and story is also not soooo bad.. a bit like the cod4 one .. bit similar there.. bur in cod4 you couldn’t even shoot on people already dead…

horrible game.sucks in many levels, only played for 10min and it was enough..ai sucks, pistol shot takes the head away!?!, bodies disappear after 5sec, while sprinting you cant move sideways wtf?, no john mullins..anyway, the lack of quality in this game is understandable since the game is from different developer..in comparison to original sof this has only one thing in common, the familiar name to sell it.(well, its still fps,so maby 2 things).

The trailer looks great, the gore looks OK like the last 2 SOF`s, graphics look good yet people are saying its crap at gamespot. Since when was the `lack of graphics options` etc enough to condemn a game? Are people expecting too much maybe? SOF was always about the shooting & gore etc, storyline should always be way down the list.

Very bloody
Frags tear bodies apart, you can shoot off arms, legs and heads. Everyone bleeds like shiat when they’re hit by bullets. Gameplay is strikly linear and I state that this is playing like a Jump’n'Run. If you have played Crysis then you’ll find as well that everything is static like brick. The colors of the game are like a comicbook and your character kinda talks like good ‘ol Duke…
It’s fun for killing time.

Ya, kinda lame how there is only an option to change resolution. I was lagging a bit at times due to all the shadows and trees and other stuff that I could really not give a rats ass for.
Also no .ini to change any graphic options…great. Any prediections to when Activision will go out of business, they release another game like this and I will guess very soon.

mhh I played it yesterday and I have to say Double Helix was much better. SoF Payback has no innovation and the brutality is staged very bad. The enemies are like dollies made of cotton wool. No reality-feeling.
hmmm…this game not is one big production like Crysis or CoD4, no have comparisons, but i liked a lot of gameplay!!

for those having issues with their vista install of this game they’ve released a patch to fix it. It works.
Awful voice acting and mindless run-n-gun gameplay but dammit, the engine does outdoor jungle environments extremely well. MP is good simple fun too.

This game is bad. And I don’t mean in a good way “bad”. This is horrible. They dressed up a low budget shooter from 2001 with wayover done BLOOM to make the game look like it’s kick ass in the screenshots. This title is riddled with audio issues and has a tendency to crash when loading a new map.The only facsimile to graphic options are to simply change the resolution. Every game in the last 7-8yrs has given us more options. All in all, a pisspoor game. Too bad they have destroyed the SoF franchise with this budget bomb.

Hi all, could you help me someone? I can’t install this game under the Vista, because when I start installation process, than I see some error. Maybe this is a problem with compatibility dll libraries, which using it for running. I can see only first screen, after click NETX, than occured en error.

downloaded the 27 parts, how to install it?
just double click on either of the rar files .00 or .01, and then there will be an iso file,
download either deamon tools or alcohol 120% and burn it to a disk,
once done put the disk back in the drive and when it loads, install the game!!

You know, I just played this game and… it is suprisingly good!
BTW, I got gfx card with 256 MB memory and it renders about 25 frames on 1280×1024 (default details… actually, they cannot be changed AFAIK) and it looks damn better that Crysis! :> Really!
