Snow Patrol, a popular rock band from Scotland released a new single “Open Your Eyes”. It will not become a mainstream hit probably, as it’s not kind of music which could be played by every radio or by MTV every hour, but there’s something in it. Snow Patrol are a rock band from Northern Ireland and Scotland, (although currently based in Glasgow, Scotland) signed to Polydor Records. Originally formed as an indie rock band, Snow Patrol has sought a more alternative rock sound in recent years on the heels of mainstream success with the songs “Run” and “Chasing Cars”.

Yeah well, they were born in Ireland and live / work / were founded in Scotland.
everything that’s wrong with popular music summed up in one song: “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol. Probably the worst “rock” song currently receiving massive airplay by FM (and presumably satellite) radio stations. It’s even worse than “Far Away” by Nickelback, and that’s really saying something. But at least Nickelback is getting fittingly negative reviews, even by mainstream press. Snow Patrol has gotten enough positive reinforcement (however misplaced) to ensure that they’ll probably keep on churning out the same garbage for years to come. I hear it at the gym every day, along with all the other Top 20 trash. I’d say it’s tied with Rihanna’s “Unfaithful” as the single most energy-draining musical turd that has absolutely no business being played in an exercise-oriented environment. Thanks a lot, Coldplay. You’ve inspired legions of copycat bed-wetters, with these douche bags leading the charge. And as long as every major network prime-time drama series needs sappy fade-out drivel (I’m looking squarely at you, Grey’s Anatomy), you and your demon spawn will be laughing all the way to the bank.
This album as well as snow patrol’s first album are the best!
Also check out razorlights releases their current and previous (1st) album are of equal quality..
